My bf and I walked into Mickey’s with a happy attitude, I wasn’t aware at the time that they’re racist, but my bf knew and often got lunch anyway bc he likes their food. We’re black. Upon starting to look at the menu, the cashier tried to rush me in a rude tone to order. I’d never been there before. I looked at him, then the two women standing to the left of him in the kitchen, then the older man who seemed to be the owner who walked to stand right next to the cashier for our purchase- and got the inkling they all had the same mentality. They’d take our money, but we weren’t welcome. I then watched as the owner continued to watch our ordering, and got the obvious cue that he was making sure we weren’t there to scam. Or give fake cash. We were going to use card. I asked for a chicken gyro, and a salad with no olives. They all continued to stare with an angry look on their faces, I continued to watch them all, and I knew that I had to check my food. I was scared they’d spit in our food or give the wrong thing. We waited outside in the parking lot, and I watched as the owner glared at us in the parking lot. The other staff stared from time to time, but he glared at us the entire time. When they handed the order over, I made sure to check our food. I was right, they gave me a lamb gyro, I’m currently 6 months pregnant and would immediately throw this up. I went back inside to let them know, and when I handed it over, they barely checked it knowing they purposely gave the wrong order. We were the ONLY people in the restaurant. I asked the cashier, “Weren’t you the one who took my order down?” He replied, “We got it now,” in a rude tone. I continued to stare them in their eyes, seeing how angry they were that I’d caught them. One blond woman, who had been one of the women to watch us as we ordered to the left, refused to look at me as she waited for my order to be remade. When it was done, she yelled at me, “Fries?!.” I didn’t respond, I just stared her in the eyes. She repeated herself, “Fries?!” The owner shooed her over, and said, “Stop it.” I’d already told them I’d be writing a review. I ignored her and took my order from the owner. She knew we only asked for salads with our orders. The owner continued to stare at me from the cash register, and I continued to look them all in the eyes before I left. All in all, they make good food, but I’d rather not give my money to those who wouldn’t treat me like a person based off my skin color. They...
Read moreThis was my favorite spot for a salad but recently last week Thursday the 8th my mom called to see if I wanted a salad because I was at the gym and I said yes. So she get it around 6:06pm I was expecting a delicious salad after I get done working out. I get home ready to eat, I open it and I'm like what is this you know you hungry gains are ready to get fed. My mom said this how they always fix my salads mostly croutons, barley any tomatos, and barely give her meat that's little scraps. My mom a sweet lady she don't want to give anyone a hard time and she can't go in because she's in a wheelchair with one leg and when they mess up they want you to drive alllll the way back up there for their mess up never heard a policy like that smh. So called telling them how the salad wasn't properly made and how it's not a good salad you pay 8 to 10 dollars for a salad so we deserve a good salad. So the lady I talked to name Marine kept going back n forth with me not trying to actually listen what I'm telling them, giving me a hard time. So today I went in to get a salad after my workout and I took pictures from the last time and Marine going back and forth with me again trying to give them advice about their salad how they can approve them. Then I guess she went to go get the owner that barley speak English telling me that's how they made and how do I know you got this here basically calling me a liar about buying the salad there. I never had an experience like this from them so I was bothered and walked out n didn't get a salad because they was unprofessional about the situation. So now I gotta find a new place with a good salad because there's not the...
Read moreMy husband and I came here for lunch because we wanted a gyro. But what was our disappointment. They have absolutely no idea in this country what this dish means. The meat was terribly greasy. I know sheep is fat, but when properly seasoned, it can be delicious. Plus, there was no fresh vegetable except onions. What in a gyro should be the norm. My husband got so little meat sauce the food was dry and not good. Overall gyro - gross. It has nothing to do with the real gyros they serve in Europe. In addition, the lady who took the order was not polite and did not care about serving us well. My husband tried to buy a hot sauce for this dish, which was standing on the shelf behind her, but the lady was not interested in selling it to us. Overall we didn't like it here. The food is lousy, the Strawberry Shake is a mockery. Plus, it was dirty inside. We will definitely not come...
