Visited with friends the Bonita Springs Outback restaurant last Friday. Always had very pleasant experiences and was looking for the same. Did not happen and is the reason for the bad review. Everything was as expected until waitress came. Very unfriendly and abrupt. Ordered our drinks. Got our cold bread. Usually warm and melts the butter. About 15 minutes later waitress came again and we ordered an appetizer. Now we have a lot of extra plates which we stacked. About 15 minutes later ordered our meal. Waitress left without removing used plates. Different wait staff brought meal and I had to ask for plates to be removed. She did that disgruntedly. Asked to get another drink order. Didn't happen. I ordered porterhouse pork chop with baked potato. It was not hot when it came. Butter did not melt on the baked potato and the pork chop was pink to red by the bone. Was a little full so didn't eat much of the chop. Waitress finally came with our bill and I asked and got a take home container. Ate the rest of the chop for late lunch the next day. Heated it thoroughly. Only thing I ate that day and became extremely ill that evening. I attributed to the chop. Have been well since that episode. If not for the great company of the other couple, this was one of our worst eating experiences. Do not need a free meal or coupons but will relate experience to other Florida visitors we know, which are quite a few. Read moreStopped in for a early dinner today.. I will say going off hours is great if you can't stand the crowds. The service was good and I really appreciated the manager Paige stopping at our table to check on us she was friendly and showed great customer service, The bread came out nice and warm and tasted great.. the chop salads were ok but would had been better because of the inedible stale chow mein noodles,* as well if I had known the cost was upcharged an extra $2.99 so with the tax close to $3.50 extra each I would had not requested it and went with whatever salad was included at no extra cost with our meal.. ( which I did not get a lunch meal but paid for a dinner priced steak) and for those prices I would think the salad wouldn't be extra. The steaks had a delicious flavor but were slightly mooing still.. which we were asked by the manager Paige if we wanted cooked more we did not but nice to know we could with no attitude. The baked potatoes were on the small size tasted good but were not hot, (my cheese and butter wouldn't even melt) 🙁 ...The peach wallaby was the best priced items at a special price of $7 each they tasted good and were refreshing.. in all a nice lunch but beware with no appetizers no dessert (paid for the small sized filet mignon and a ribeye) over $78bucks and add a 20% tip and there's close to $100 for lunch, if your on a budget it's in your favor to sign up for DINE Rewards or if your a AARP member you can get 10% off just give your phone number before paying...
