We were very excited to try The Capital Grille, as it’s somewhere that is typically slightly out of our normal budget. We were with a large group and the overall experience was great. The wait staff was perfect, the drinks tasted how they should and were reasonably priced. The wine we had was also easily some of the best I’ve personally had. We ordered several salads and lobster bisque for appetizers and I believe almost every side on the menu with our entrees. They were all exceptional. For my main, I ordered the special which was a bone in steak and topped with a lovely reduction and some nice funky cheese. The issue is, that I ordered my steak medium rare and the bone bordering half of the steak was completely charred as well as the perimeter of the non bone side. It wasn’t just kissed with flames, it was black and acrid tasting for all of those bites. The rest of the meat ranged from medium well, to well besides just next to the bone on the interior of the steak, where it was maybe 1 or 2 bites scraped directly from the bone. It also had zero flavor as if it had not been seasoned with anything at all. I didn’t want to cause a scene at a company event, that someone else was footing the bill for, so I just ate it. Honestly the cut of meet I had 4 weeks ago from The Texas Road House was 1/4 of the price and leaps and bounds better. I don’t like to leave anything but positive reviews, but hopefully the right person sees this and that whoever was working expo on Wednesday night pays a little closer attention to what is allowed to make it’s way to the dining room. Hopefully it saves someone else from sharing in this, because as much as I liked everything else about my experience, I don’t think I would return based...
Read moreFive Stars for Service & Ambiance. As a local Chef, I was curious if they were rationing the salt in the kitchen? Plenty supplied upon request. But for the service being impeccable the steaks were left very under seasoned. The cooks & Chef need to taste their sauces & season their steaks generously. To have such a high quality dry aged steak without salt to bring out the flavors left me wanting.... Service was very well executed. I wish I remembered our servers name because he really deserves the five star review. Above & beyond, very well mannered, very detailed oriented & observant! As I used my silverware improperly he didn't miss this fact & I was never left without utensils. Served real glass bottled coke instead of the bar gun. Everyone in the dining room & reception are amazing at their jobs... This is why people go for fine dining, the service & the food. I must add that not all the food was bland & salt less. Their thick cut bacon appetizer with tomato jam & Sweet Pickled Shallots was the star, that the steaks should have been... I am being very fair & in no way am I complaining... Birthday for my wife. Complimentary Dessert dish for two, offer to take a photo to remember the evening, birthday well wishes in a enveloped card... Nice touch... As I have stated previously, Service unrivaled by any restaurant I have patronized in town and I have been to all of our fine restaurants. They deserve the stars. We will be back for another go around......

They strive harder to always make it better than you last visit. So for those who have not had an opportunity visit? Make a reservation and go check it out for yourself.
Start with the prosciutto-wrapped mozzarella, it's so good. I'm a steak lover, the filet Oscar style with King crab and hollandaise will keep a smile on your face. Add some of the mashed potatoes, asparagus or augratin potatoes and you'll be stuffed. The sides are large enough to share so keep that in mind and order a couple. As for dessert, the coconut cream pie is not your traditional style, more of a smaller tart loaded with fresh whipped creme! I always get along with creme breelue. It's creamy and consistent throughout. Not like some other restaurants where it's just an average dessert. Happy hour is always a great place to mingle and meet new friends. Easy complimentary valet makes parking a breeze. I can't say enough about this place. It is hands down my favorite restaurant in Naples, Florida...
