BELOW IS A PIC OF WHAT RESTRAUNT STYLE CORN BEEF HAS SHOULD LOOK LIKE. (Pixies).
EDIT: A whole 2 years later and we still haven't been back and it's NOT because I'm a "scam artist" lmao...if I wanted CANNED CORN BEEF HASH I would have went to the store and bought it for $2. The only scam artist at the time was this guy bellow me. I may have been rude...and Im sure my mother was...cuz she...well can be sometimes but, only reason I was upset was because he took offense to me requesting DIFFERENT HASH...THAT DID NOT COME FROM A CAN lol...still cracks me up because man were his feels hurt. I'm sorry BOSS man...hasn't anyone stood up to your canned food entree before? He yelled and screamed at us like a pubescent child. The ONLY person he embarrassed that day was himself and the restraunt. I was actually shocked the way he acted. His unprofessionalism shows just through his reply..making up stories and not owning up to his nasty behavior. FYI I have nothing to gain from this. Just though everyone should know what a slim bag the BOSS man of HUNGRY DAWGS DINER IS and to be careful because he could cause some serious traumatic experiences to some people hollering and trying to make customers feel unheard and dumb for a simple request. Yes maybe it was rude but I was laughing while saying CANNED CORN BEEF to the waitress lol. Came from a place of.l well...I deserve better since I'm a paying customer type place. Any way rant way over!
I can't believe the way the owner just treated my mom my 2 children and I. I simply asked if I could just pay for my eggs because I didn't realize I would be getting canned corn beef hash (which is awesome if you are camping but not worth $15 at a restaurant) he yelled and put his hands in my face, took my ticket, told us not to come back and proceeded to say he won't have my attitude on a day like today (it's snowy out and several places are closed) it's not busier than a regular sat morning but ok sir. He must have been having a bad day but you don't treat customers like that period. The waitress was busy but efficient, to the point, and kind. We tipped her still and walked out with 4 free meals. She said he gets stressed sometimes but man that is no way to...
Read moreOf course as usual, I completed my research. Some of the concerns appeared valid. In the menu (did not list complete menu in images) there is notation of any additional charges. I do agree that prices are a little high, but thats the economy and the business does have to pass the prices to the consumer. The moral I recommend you read the entire menu a couple times and as questions, this would probably lead to less disappointment when you receive your bill.
Happy they were open Easter Sunday/April Fools Day/Resurrection Sunday--even if it were only for a few hours. Although it did take a little while for the food to come, the waitress was still attentive to our table. Over heard them speaking to a few tables of regulars and they have a punch card.
She actually knew how to make an Arnold Palmer!! (Iced tea and lemonade)
I was having a debate on what gravy is the best. The S.O.S (hamburger based) and the "regular" gravy (sausage based). The waitress offered a sample of the two, which I have never actually had happen ever, except for the ice cream shop. While the S.O.S. was pretty good, it was a little salty for my taste. You could tel that the sausage was flour based due to the thickness, but not bad after taste.
Our order: Meat Trio/white toast and hasbrowns Chicken Fried/hashbrowns/eggs/english muffin 1/2 order S.O.S. biscuit 1/2 order french toast 1 side egg Kids hot dog/french fries Biscuit and Gravy/hash brown And dessert chocolate lave cake and apple pie. While I will say the apple pie does closely resemble the look and taste of the costco brand. Luckley for us, we love that apple pie.
There is a bar attached. Kids cant sit at the counter of course, but they can sit at the booths if necessary. Same menu as in the regular restaurant.
No.complaints from my family on any of our dishes!!! Since were in the place close to closing time, impressed to see the them move the booth tables to clean the floor.

Read moreAnywhere I travel, I always have to seek out a diner and have some breakfast! Visiting Washington, I knew stopping at a local coffee shop was a no brainier, but I needed some diner food! A quick look at Google Maps and I found Hungry Dawg's Diner.
First impression of the diner was that it is very clean, welcoming, friendly staff and a whole lot of framed pictures of dogs on the wall. Very inviting. Our drink order was taken quickly, and we took a look at the menu. Nothing out of the ordinary with plenty of typical diner foods to keep anyone happy. Only thing that was not easy to look at was the prices, they are a bit on the higher side and you can easily pay $10 -$14 for one meal. We got cups of coffee and then shared hash browns and an egg and ham sandwich. They loaded the sammy up with the egg which is such a big plus for me! Another big plus for me was how tasty the coffee was. I've been to plenty of diners where the coffee tastes bitter and burnt. The kind that you try to knock back, but you just can't because your taste buds tell you "NO!" But the coffee here was hot, smooth and just flat out delicious. I don't even care if it was pre packaged or anything like that, it was a seriously scrumptious cup of Joe!
Despite the prices, I would love to go visit the diner again because while the prices are a bit higher, from my first experience with them, they hook you up with a good amount of food. Looking forward to my next visit to Bonney Lake and stopping in to...
