Fails to Follow Directions I notified the front desk, nurse staff and doctor that everything I was seeking service for would be an out-of-pocket expense due to my deductible. As per standard, they asked for my insurance. I stated, 'DO NOT BILL' as it would not satisfy the deductible. Did they listen? No. They wanted to tack on extra tests and stacked up fee and after fee, then charged $400 for a 45 minute visit (which they stated doesn't need to be 45 minutes with you, but just 45 minutes or more on your case file). While the doctor there listened to me and checked me, she was insistent I go to the ER for saline to treat my severe dehydration. (I treated it at home and got through it. Maybe I was severely dehydrated because I was waiting to get into the walk in for two hours while it's 90 outside, despite chugging two whole things of water.) I told her I was not going to go to ER for two to three bags of saline for well over $5,000 in ER bills. So I went home an nursed it. Then I get a bill for over $400 for a UTI test, pregnancy test (since doctors like to push for these as a standard for women pre-prescription), and a review of my chart. I waited well over TWO hours for a walk in and was the last patient seen in the door. The fact that a UTI test and "doctor visit" rounded up to $400+ is ridiculous! (The bulk of the bill is just charging for time, btw.) What, so you can rack up charges to my insurance when I deliberately asked for it to be self-pay/out-of-pocket pay MULTIPLE times to many staff (and yes, they were kind, and I think that there is a 5/5 on that alone but the overall visit post-treatment isn't good because of the billing issue alone). My insurance may have told me to go there (as I consulted the nurse line prior to arriving to make sure I wouldn't be accidentally out-of-network) but MultiCare remains one of the SHADIEST medical practices in Washington state, yet again for failing to follow directions and give optimal care without pushing for ER use. Next time I need to go in, I'll take a pregnancy test myself to avoid the $20 surcharge. If I could get access to basic UTI tests for at home too, I would as well. That's ridiculous. I just needed antibiotics, and this is what I get slapped with.
[And from further research in the 1-3 star reviews, this seems to be a regular practice at this clinic to use a loophole of 45+ minutes of "reviewing your case file" to charge you $400 for their time. I know UC can charge far less than that. Don't be fooled by the glowing five stars. This clinic billing practice isn't right. They're clearly gaming...
Read moreAs a 50 year old woman I have lived long enough to know the difference between something being wrong with my back and having a UTI! Especially since Iâve had 2 back surgeries and worked in the healthcare field for 20 years! And I told you it happened while lifting boxes. Itâs a serious problem when doctors donât listen to what their patients are telling them. And itâs even worse when that provider is a woman! We already struggle with male doctors and how the treat women patients. The fact that you even asked about me having a UTI because I peed 3 times in 1 hour waiting to be seen. It was 10 am, ever heard of coffee?!đ seriously disappointed !! But thankful for the pain meds for My BACK. My BACK is the issue, as I told you. I also had an injured shoulder. She âexamedâ my shoulder, had me do some movements and said I needed physical therapy. However, upon my release gave no print out with exercises or referral to physical therapy. On my online appointment, thereâs a box you fill out as to why youâre being seen. I put in the box I needed an X-ray to make sure I hadnât damaged the hardware. They only have a simple X-ray so it doesnât show the hardware. She gave me an order for an X-ray to the place called diagnostic something, which is closed until Monday. I guess my questions are as follows: 1.) you knew your machine couldnât pick up my hardware, but you kept my appointment anyway? Why?! 2.) if I need physical therapy to heal my shoulder, why didnât you give me an order for it? How do you expect it to be healed? Am I supposed to magically know what exercise to do?! đł 3.) what did I pay you for?! Literally the only thing you did to actually help me is a shot of toroidal! Seems like a huge waste of $100âs of dollars that I donât have. Even with insurance, insurance doesnât cover everything. Oh and I just checked my chart online. Yâall straight lied on there!đł you said my exam was at 9:30 and I didnât even see Debbie until after 10! Yâall shady! This has been one of THE MOST bizarre doctors appointments...
Read moreI highly recommend this Urgent care in Bonney Lake. I love that I'm able to make an appointment online or by calling. I've tried another urgent care before Indigo and they didn't have this feature so the wait is longer and there was a time where they stop taking patients because they've received their quota for having only one doctor. Having an appointment with Indigo, there is not much waiting. I'm in and out within 30 minutes or less.
Everyone is so friendly, happy and warm plus compassionate, especially the front desk and the medical assistants. I agree with the previous comment that they make the visit fun and enjoyable.
Ciarra and Hannah treated me with so much care and compassion in cleaning and changing the dressing of my big open wound that might have been caused by a rare painful skin condition called Pyoderma Gangrenusom.
The ARNP, Debbie Wheeler and Dr. McAllister have the best bedside manners. They've made me feel like they were my friends who truly care about my well being.
I've only been going to this clinic for almost 2 weeks and my wound is healing nicely according to my dermatologist who I just saw today. Wound care with compassion goes a long way toward healing especially when I need to have a daily change of dressing and cleaning. I thank God for Indigo Urgent Care in Bonney Lake.
My husband is quite impressed also with how good everyone has treated me. He said whoever is hiring the staff has done a great job. May God bless all these wonderful people who are now a part of my healing journey for...
