I've definitely had better Chipotle experiences. This was my first time at this location (traveling). Upon arrival, I noticed a sign on the door which stated that due to staffing that they were only taking online orders. I don't fault them for that and I appreciated knowing that before walking in.
Okay, let's talk about the food. My youngest got a quesadilla kids meal and she said that was the best cheese quesadilla she's ever had at a Chipotle! She loved how stringy the cheese was. We actually ordered a steak quesadilla but the steak was on the side (unsure if that's how it normally comes or not). My daughter bit into the steak and said it hurt her teeth. We were eating there and asked for more protein since it was overcooked and switched to chicken. The chicken was fresh and moist and flavorful (I tasted it).
I ordered steak tacos and for the little amount of steak I got, it was severely overcooked. There was no moisture left in that steak. Also, the soft taco shells were not soft. They felt old/stale.
I can't speak to the friendless of the staff. I saw two people putting orders together and occasionally saw a third person. We were not greeted upon walking inside. I only heard them speak to call out names of orders of people waiting inside for their food. They were however working hard to get orders done.
I personally would not return to this Chipotle.
Update to my initial review*
As a follow-up, we contacted Chipotle, hoping they would make things right. Instead, we received a pitiful amount of points, barely enough to purchase a taco shell. This response is unacceptable and deeply disappointing. I would rather my review stand than be misled into thinking the company would resolve the issue, only to be given such a meager and...
Read moreLet’s start off with what happens when you first walk in the door. Nothing. 2 people in front of me. Several people eating in the dining room. It’s 11:00 on a Thursday morning. Manager walks out from the back and asks if some people seated are waiting on a rather large catering order. Yes, that’s us they reply. He explains it’s going to be a little bit longer than expected. I’m thinking it was probably an 11:00 pickup. Still no one moving in front of me. Server comes out from the kitchen and asks customer number 1, what can I get for you? Bowl, to go. Quick and done. Server waits on 2nd customer. Managers come out and look at the grill, almost in disbelief. Is this the only chicken we have? Person on the grill points to the “meat” area of where I am standing. We have some prepped right here he says. Manager removed chicken and under his breath whispers, we’re out of chicken on the line now. Server now comes back to customer 2. What can I get for you? Another bowl to go order. Quick and easy. They’re out the door. I’m next. But the catering order is almost done so everything grinds slow for a minute while the Order is pulled together. The server comes back to the counter and asks me what can I get for you? I just say, probably not a chicken bowl, even though that’s what I came here for! I get my usual with 2 kinds of rice, black beans, mild salsa. Double corn. They don’t have any fresh cilantro, sweet onions or pickled red onions. Of course they charge me for the guacamole and queso cheese. At any given time, a manager could have and should have been available to speed the whole process up. I got the carne asada, because they didn’t have chicken. I will probably go back...
Read moreSo, normally when I deal with these guys they’re really cool. There’s one guy that’s long haired, and there’s another taller guy. The taller guy was very rude, and hateful. The shorter long haired guy whose name was Chris I believe was really cool. I personally witnessed the taller guy “ (Who looked like he might be under the influence) throw some bags at the gentleman running the cash register. He was really cool and didn’t deserve that. This was around 9:25 when I came in. Let’s start by how the conversation originally went. I walked in, and the guy was visibly and clearly upset. This gentleman started shaking his head, and rolling his eyes. I said “hey man, how are you?” And his reaction was mumbled with a “yeah.” That’s not very business friendly. I asked for chicken, and he gave me maybe about 3 pieces of chicken trying to be a smart aleck. I had to ask the guy running cash register for more meat. I’m not really sure why or how this guy got hired because he was a very hateful, rude employee with an attitude. I’d say fire the guy and replace him with someone who actually wants to work!!!! What a shame, and a poor look for such a high integrated business. As a long time customer this guy definitely ruined my experience. Until they get rid of him I won’t be back!!! Good job on the cash register to the guy who was working it. You are such a hard worker, but your other coworker needs to learn a few manners and maybe have a job that keeps him away for people. It was clear to me that he was just there for a paycheck because...
