Elevation 3333 — Restaurant in Boone

We didn't have a good experience. Our group of seven arrived at 2p. The patio and furniture were in really rough shape. Our server was very nice, but it quickly became apparent that the kitchen has problems. It took 20-30 minutes for our (simple) order to come out, and when it did, it came out sporadically over several trips from the kitchen. My wife and I had basically finished our meal by the time others were just receiving their meals. I went into the bathroom and was a bit horrified at the lack of sanitation inside.

The food was standard bar fare, not "best burger I've had" as stated in other (probably biased) reviews.

The bill was on the lines of what you'd get at Applebee's or somewhere similar, which was expensive compared to the dingy gas station atmosphere and experience that we had.

If these has been $5 meals (like the nasty Burger King where we ate several days ago) you kinda shrug your shoulders and let it go. At $15+ each, clean and on time shouldn't be a wild expectation.

I didn't make a big deal out of it, and I tipped our server, but I felt like it was important for this bar to not have a 4.0 rating based on prior reviews. It's misleading. I'm a local and I've been here probably half a dozen times and can honestly say it's never been better than sub-par. I only ever go if I have a BOGO of some kind so I can justify the food quality and service. However, Today I went in planning to use a BOGO and walked out after about 15 minutes to go eat somewhere else. When I first walked in, the server gave me a menu and brought me some water but after I decided what I wanted to eat ( which took all of 2 minutes) I sat there for another 10 minutes waiting for her to come back. There were 4 other people in the whole place and my server was sitting at a table 12 feet away with her nose in her phone.
