Random stop for quick sashimi. Literally pointed to the first place on my way with 4.5 rating. More of a take out place i guess but you can eat in. Can probably sit 8-10 families. Maybe even good for a private event if you close the place down. Off 287. Has 8 parking spots. I ordered sashimi appetizer - fish was fresh but portions of the fish were small. I guess because it’s appetizer. One piece of fish (see video) had some black residue on it (my guess skin) my didnt look appealing so i didnt touch it - hence my 4 star and not 5 star rating. Also (purely out if greed) ordered their special cali roll. Didnt realize it was hot as in warm… tasted ok but too much sauce of mayo for my taste. Despite being small - i liked their service dishes and staff was friendly.. Overall solid 4… but would not give 5. Likely ok for take out but if you want a restaurant feel - this is not the place.

A cozy little gem in Boonton. My wife and I stopped into Wasabi Bistro for a Saturday lunch and had a great experience. The vibe is warm and inviting—nothing fancy or over-the-top, just really comfortable and welcoming. Service was great. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. I went with the sushi + sashimi lunch special and it was delicious. My wife had the ginger chicken lunch box which came with a mix of things (see pics)—also really tasty and a great value. We’ll definitely be returning.

#2 visit. Even better than visit 1. Chef and staff have grown in confidence. Franco- Nihon cuisine done expertly and with FLAIR. BYOB. Tonight’s stars? The sashimi offerings recommended by our host Keiko and steak on the 500* slab ( OMG , worth every penny). Cozy and nice vibe to a low volume dining room. A real treat.

This is our closest sushi spot so we order from here once every month or two. It's always okay, nothing amazing, but it's fine.

This most recent time was pretty bad though, and it makes me feel hesitant to order from here again. The sushi was unpleasantly tough/chewy like the rice had been made the day before or something, and the salmon/tuna was unusually fishy tasting - not in a nice way.

The closest approximation is, if you've ever bought pre-made sushi at a convenience store, that's how it tasted.

I was honestly surprised by how bad it was, because the quality has previously always been better/okay in the past three years or so. I'm not necessarily expecting top quality, but at least consistency in average takeout, and that consistency has now significantly downgraded imo.

I'd give this place two stars bc I'm wondering what on earth happened?? , but I know how important reviews are for restaurants nowadays, so that seems too harsh, even though that was my experience eating their food recently -- edible (presumably, I hope), but...

Absolutely amazing of a place! First time going here, it is small but however, the place is adorable. Walked right in, greeted by friendly staff members. Sat right down and ordered. The wait time was reasonable, it did take some Time for a small meal but it was still definitely worth the wait of it. The food was absolutely delicious, the flavoring to it with the spices made it really splendid.

The service like said before was fabulous, staff were very friendly and felt very heart warming that they are here to take care of you while you’re enjoying your food.

Atmosphere was good! Music really fitted the fit of the restaurant vibes. People talking and the lighting was perfect.

Overall, this restaurant was really good especially the food and the amazing kind staff who are very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to many others around the local area for some good Japanese food. The wide variety of different foods made it...
