I want to preface this by saying this was our first time ordering from here, and we placed a large takeout order so maybe it was just a one-off experience! Unfortunately, we had a really disappointing takeout meal from Boonton Thai Cuisine, with our main issue being with the cost vs. the quality and portions of the food. We paid a little more than $170 (tip included) to feed 6 people, and the sizes of our main dishes and appetizers were shockingly small considering that's about $30 per person. We got the beef fried rice, chicken fried rice, Singapore noodles, chicken and broccoli, Boonton Thai chicken wings, vegetable spring rolls, chicken satay, Thai salad, pla rard prik, and garlic chicken, and nothing really stood out as super flavorful or worth the price to us. The chicken satay was just some short, thin strips of cold dry chicken for nearly $8, and I don't think I've ever gotten smaller spring rolls from a restaurant before. All of our dishes were tasty enough to finish, but overall everything was pretty bland and we didn't have any leftovers, which again we expected for paying so much per person. The person that took my order estimated it would take 30-40 minutes, but I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes in the mostly empty restaurant for it to be finished. The kitchen did seem very busy though and it's a small restaurant, so I definitely understand filling a really big order would take that long!
Like I said up top, this place has great reviews from locals who have been coming here for years so we might have just caught them on a bad night or maybe we didn't order their best dishes. I wonder if it'd be better to dine-in here, since the atmosphere of the restaurant is great and the woman that helped me with my order was incredibly kind. It smells amazing in there too! You can tell they work really hard and a lot of love goes into the food at Boonton Thai Cuisine, but it just missed the mark for us, and we were really disappointed with how much we spent on small portions of food that didn't...

Finally, after the pandemic, it's open for dine-in, and being my wife’s favorite Thai restaurant- we went this weekend.
We got the window seat which I guess, was the only decent table there. 80% of business still goes through online orders, I guess.
We Ordered-
Spare ribs – Avoid it, small pieces of ribs are fried in oil. Not good
Drunken Noodles (Thai Spicy) – it was superb. It's my wife's fav dish and she swears by it. It was authentic and not sweet like other places. She has tried the same dish multiple times and she is never disappointed (I can say that by looking at her face when she eats that..hahaha)
Tom yum Noodles soup – I am a guy who goes for either soupy noodles or fried rice. The soup was perfectly spicy, full of veggies and chicken. Perfect balance.
It was a nice dinner having our fav dishes.
Recommended and Go for it. My wife is a big noodle fan. Like any kind of noodles. After reading all the rave reviews about the “spicy drunken noodles” we thought of giving it a shot. Was in that area and we did a take out ( of course due to this pandemic thing, we are avoiding dine in) for the chicken version in spice level -Thai.
It was just so so good, Its the best she has tried so far in the US. man, was she happy.. haha... It was not sweet, very authentic, and perfect. The quantity was enough for a single person. Will definitely go back to try other dishes as well. The pick up was seamless, had ordered via their...
Read moreMy friends and I had a chance to dine at Boonton Thai Cuisine restaurant around a week ago. Honestly, it was random place that we have chosen to eat and we were very happy with our choice. We were blown away by how good the food was and overall service. We didn't order anything too fancy. We had some Thai curry, some sautéed dishes and Pla garlic fish. All food was was delicious, well prepared and nicely served. The restaurant isn't perhaps the venue where you would organize your wedding, but it was very neat and clean.
This place is definitely great destination for anyone that wants to quickly get some tasty Thai food and not spend too much money on it. Highly...
