Blue Moon Café — Restaurant in Boothbay Harbor

We visited this cafe over the weekend after seeing recommendations on social media. Arrived around 930am and waited in a long line to order- took about 45 minutes from getting in line to being served. Our group ordered varying degrees of meals from a breakfast sandwich to the lobster Benedict. The lobster Benedict (arrived as pictured) was not worth $32- we actually laughed at the portion when it arrived given the small amount of lobster and the 8 home fries. Home fries were a mix of regular and sweet potatoes which I personally did not love. The water front views are nice if you can get a table- otherwise, you're better off getting your meal to go as the back patio is swarmed with bees. Part of our group got up to go sit on a bench to try to get away from them and the server noticed and said "oh ya, it's bad back there". Obviously, to a degree this is something difficult to control but it was pretty bad so would benefit from some type of mitigation. No one in our group left particularly impressed with the food or experience. I would not recommend this cafe for a sit down breakfast experience- could probably meet your needs for quick service items. So this place process for taking orders you line up place your order the look for your table. Unless your a local then you just take any table and have one person in your group place everyone's order.so all the people ahead of that group are deprived on getting a table. First come, first served table restaurants don't work unless you enforce people bypassing the line.

First and foremost you have no idea what mood I was in,But clearlythats your defense statement to start.(in otherwords its not my fault).If you actually notice the first table I got had one Chair because the other chair was at another table been held by that table for someone else who was not even in the restaurant. When it was pointed out to you that people where taking tables and bypassing the line you did not care. When I got a table with 2 seats I also had to call the young man to clean the table.Its and please tell me what I said that is not true,and just because your small business does not exempt you from reviews.

Stopped in for an early lunch on 6/17/21 around 11:30. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes due to a switch from breakfast to lunch...ok.. I ordered the lobster plate that was described as a tomato with a scoop of lobster inside it. After half an hour, I got a lovely platter with a small scoop of lobster plopped ON top of a tomato. Why? because the tomato could barely be cut, it was rock hard. NOT as described and barely edible. When my husband went to talk to someone about it, he was told 'we don't set the prices'... NOT a good response. I could have sent it back or asked for my money back but because of the pandemic, we had timed tickets for 12:30 for the botanical gardens and it was around 12:20.
