We went to dinner here on a Saturday at the end of November and sat in the ‘outside’ area. It’s enclosed in the winter time but it doesn’t seal completely by the windows so there is a draft. Our table was right next to the window so it was quite chilly. We grabbed extra jackets from the car to put over our laps so just prepare for that! We would have sat inside but there is only a bar top and small two seater tables & we were a larger group!
Service here was great. Our waiter was quick, polite, and efficient. I don’t remember her name but we were in a bit of a hurry & she was fantastic! She brought our check & boxes right away & cleared everything promptly.
The food was also amazing! We got the eggplant parmigiana, Al Quattro formaggi, & garlic knots. The eggplant parmigiana was perfectly cooked and seasoned. There was a bit too much sauce on it for me but it was still delicious. Would definitely order again! I wasn’t a fan of the formaggi pizza but my friends I went with loved it! If you don’t like Gorgonzola, this is not the pizza for you! It is quite a strong taste & they don’t hold back. The garlic knots would good but I’ve had better. Overall, I would probably eat here again! Parking lot and restaurant are both small though so if you have a large group get there early and...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I planned on gardens a glow tonight and had a hankering for pizza! Found this place online and decided to give it a try…. Needless to say we won’t be back. We will be finding somewhere else next year! Got a pizza, wings and garlic knots. Pizza was just fine, garlic knots GUSHED with oil and the wings were so dry even with sauce I could barely swallow them. When we walked in, there was only one other table, the server greeted and said pick one of these tables. With only one other table she was serving she stood around for ten minutes before getting our drink orders. When we got our food we were shocked at the small portions for what we were paying for them. Four “jumbo wings” for $12…. I don’t think so. If you’re going to call them jumbo make them full wings at least. My boyfriend was using shaker parm for his pizza, the table next to ours asked for some as well so the server took it off our table without asking and gave it to them. The same with a chair when another table settled in and needed an extra.Took a chair from our table when we were eating. I wouldn’t have cared if she’d asked. Just not impressed. Was hoping for a fun day on the coast and this was by far the...
Read moreBest pizza I’ve ever had. My table shared a Buffalo Chicken pizza (today’s special) and an Arugula and Prosciutto pizza. Both were spectacular. The crust is a little thin, but the pizzas are pretty big, so one pizza is good for two people. I strongly recommend the Arugula and Prosciutto pizza - I’ve never had either Arugula or Prosciutto on a pizza before but it was incredible; the sauce was pleasantly bright, and the crust was thin but crispy. The pizzas are all around $18, which strikes me as a very fair price for enough food for two in Boothbay Harbor. I also had the garlic knots, which were great, but I would save room for dessert - the chocolate hazelnut calzone is absurdly good (but it is so massive that you should share it with at least three others). The service was outstanding, and the outdoor dining area was perfect, with great atmosphere! Do be aware that parking tends to...
