I recently visited Angelo’s Trattoria in Bordentown, NJ, and I can honestly say it was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and cozy atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a relaxing meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.

I decided to try the Clams Casino, which was absolutely delicious—the creamy sauce was rich but not overwhelming, and the clams were absolutely delicious. My girlfriend had the Pescatore Fra Diable, which she couldn't stop raving about; the mussels in it were absolutely incredible and one of the largest mussels we have ever seen, it was on the spicier side, so beware.

We also shared the Calamari Fritta and it was a perfect appetizer—crispy on the outside and paired perfectly with the San Marzano pasta sauce, hands down the best calamari for the price and what they give you. Also had the chicken Parmesan eggrolls, they were ok and definitely worth the try. The portion sizes were generous, and we left feeling completely satisfied.

One of the best parts was that it’s BYOB, so we brought along a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant is casual yet elegant, which makes it suitable for a date night or a family gathering. Overall, I highly recommend Angelo’s Trattoria to anyone in the area looking for delicious Italian food in a comfortable setting. It’s definitely a place I’ll...

Had reservations so was seated immediately on a Thursday. The restaurant is small, clean, and quaint. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Loved the bread and olive oil that comes with the meal. The dishes arrive quickly and scorching hot which is awesome. Portion sizes are large.

We ordered the grilled octopus which had incredible flavor. Absolutely loved the pureed cauliflower it was sitting on along with the raisins. Never had that combo before and thought it was excellent. The octopus was tad chewy, could be slightly more tender.

We got the clams casino pasta which I requested with spaghetti and also the carbonara. The clams casino was really fresh, and the dish was seasoned well. I really enjoyed their homemade pasta, long noodles with great chewy texture. The lemon really brightens the dish and helps break up the richness.

The carbonara was SO RICH. It's heavenly but it fills you up real quick. Definitely more of a cream sauce than egg but it's still delicious.

Then for the dessert we split the chocolate mousse which was awesome. The homemade whipped cream and the chocolate was a dreamy combo.

I only knocked off a star because there's a $10 plate sharing charge. Haven't been to any restaurants in NJ that charge you for an extra plate. Some places even happily divide the entree up for you before it hits your table so I found...

Came here on a Thursday night for dinner with friends. And it was great. Shown to our table right away, the food and service were both excellent. We ordered the lasagna, which was rich, cheesy, when you get the dish, it’s not the traditional lasagna you come to expect, it’s presented from a different perspective, and the taste was on point to any good lasagna you can remember. The chicken and shrimp fra diavolo had just the right amount of heat, with tender shrimp, juicy chicken, and a flavorful, spicy tomato sauce that really brought the dish together. The short rib ragu was a standout — the meat was fall-apart tender, and the sauce was hearty and deeply savory, paired perfectly with the pasta.

Service was attentive and prompt throughout the meal. Our server checked in just the right amount, and everything came out hot and fresh. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in their food, and the front of house makes sure guests feel welcome. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to,...
