Drunken Monkey Tavern — Restaurant in Bossier City

We chose the Drunkin Monkey to get away from the casino we were staying at and man were we blown away by the service and hospitality from the owner and his staff and the local customers!! We were even invited to come back the next day to celebrate his wife's birthday, they had a hell of a food spread, top of the line food, soooo good, I can't really say enough about this place. My only regret is we left and couldn't find Monk to tell him thanks for everything, so if you read this Monk thank you from the people...

I randomly wandered in here on a whim a couple years ago, and it's become a regular stop every time I come into town.

Nothing fancy. Simple bar, great prices, a couple poker machines, friendly bartenders, and more often than not, some sort of food laid out on the tables.

I've never pretended to be anything other than an out-of-towner who stops in every few months, and customers and employees have never treated me as anything other than one of their own.
