If you're looking for a good price for a burger, this isn't the place. BUT, if you're looking for a great burger at a great burger price - unfortunately this still isn't the place. Part of my frustration was waiting 30 minutes for my to-go order (when they said it would be 10 minutes) then being served a barely luke-warm meal that had obviously been sitting in the window for a WHILE. Then having to wait longer for a re-fire. However, you'd hope for a really good burger, fries and onion rings than what they serve. First - even after the re-fire the onion rings were cold. And, there was a total of 6 of them - making them a cool $1 each! However I could only stomach 1 and part of a 2nd. The fries also tasted old. I could see why - the kitchen apparently prepares a large amount of each, puts them in a steel bowl, and they sit in the window until served by the servers themselves. It takes a while to go through several orders of each before they make more. So, if they're near the end of that steel bowl-full when your order is assembled, you're getting cold fries and/or onion rings. I was "lucky" enough to experience both. The burger was also not very good. The produce on it tasted old. The bun is not toasted. They drown it in "special sauce" to the point that it's the only thing you can taste. Take a look at the picture - all that orange goo you see is "special sauce". Overall, really disappointing - both in terms of the food and the service.

I ordered a well done steak and the manager Teri assured me and my friend that the steak was well cooked. When I went to eat the steak I got towards the corner that wasn’t facing me and it was not done all the way. When I asked the manager Teri if she could take a couple dollars off of it for it not being well done she said she could not unless it was only one or two bites taken out of it. What type of foolishness is that? $2 would’ve broke the bank? Be for real. Long story short will not be returning in the near future or recommending to anyone. I’ve come her a few times in the past and have never had any problems before. I asked if they would even put it back on the grill to recook it and they said no due to cross contamination which is understandable. I’m not saying the customer is always right but can we compromise at least. My friend’s plate had blood all in her potatoes and across her plate. The manager Teri said it was just steak juice but honestly we can tell the difference. I’m too distraught to even play the machines and that’s what I was going to after.

Alright, fam let me spill the sweet tea about this spot! I’m out here in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the Horseshoe Casino, giving the 8-ounce burger joint another chance after they tried to sabotage my life with uncooked chicken last time (rude!). But oh, have mercy this time they redeemed themselves! I ordered the fried pork chop (fried HARD, because crispy is next to godliness), paired with the fried okra and fries. Everything was on point like, seasoning-your-soul kinda good. Now, mind your business about me lounging like royalty eating in bed big-back behavior and all. Focus instead on how deliciously crispy and salty (Louisiana-level salty!) that pork chop was. Will I go back? Absolutely. But I’m skipping the burger and heading straight for that pork chop glory. 8-ounce Burger at Horseshoe Casino, you’ve officially upgraded from side-eye to side-order. Well played.

What To Order: 8oz Burger, Onion Rings, Fried Green Tomatoes

I was passing thru Shreveport late one evening and saw the casino. Thinking there would be somewhere to get food after 9pm in a casino, I stopped in to stretch the legs and grab some food.

Inside the Binions Horseshoe I found the 8oz Burger Bar that was open 24 hours.

The menu offered a wide variety of items, and since the place was named as such, I ordered the item with a matching name the "8oz Burger" with the combo option. For my side I got the onion rings and a Coke.

The menu also had Fried Green Tomatoes listed, I couldnt pass up the chance to get some, as theres been a few places I've had them where they were simply amazing.

My food came out and the burger was pretty good, I wouldn't call it excellent but it was tasty and prepared well with decent flavor. The onion rings and the fried green tomatoes were just OK. I had high hopes for the fried green tomatoes but they lacked a bit of flavor and really needed a sauce to take them to the next level. Overall the food wasnt bad, but fell short of what I had hoped it would be.

Even at 11pm the place had a good amount of people dining, and service was a bit spotty. Only 2 waitresses were working while I was there and they were running from table to table, clearing tables, seating guests, taking orders, refilling drinks, and delivering orders. My drink went empty at one point and wasnt refilled until my meal arrived, and then remained empty again until my check came.

Overall Im giving 3 stars, because both the food and service were average. The prices here suggested that I was going to have something a bit better than average, but I...

I've NEVER not wanted to tip a server more than I have from my TERRIBLE experience on Sunday 5/19/24 around 3:00 a.m.-3:45 a.m. I don't know what her name is but she was TERRIBLE. It wasn't busy at all for one. Secondly, when she took our 2-drink order and couldn't remember it, she didn't think to maybe just pull out her order pad for the remainder of the ordering part. She took our 2-item meal order (wings and 1 sandwich) and couldn't remember it. Our food FINALLY comes out after 35 min on at a super slow time (I've managed 2 restaurants for 20 yrs and know it shouldn't have taken that long for the amount of tables in there) and our 8-pc wings are old and burnt and the short rib grilled cheese sandwich is dropped on the floor as she proceeds to balance so many things in her arms and chest instead of using a server tray. Our sandwich was remade, in hopes it wasn't the old one replated, but by then I got the "new" food in a togo box and left our horrific waitress a 10% tip. That's the lowest I've ever tipped anyone in my 37 years of life. That girl needs to either retrain or get out of the waitressing business cause she's terrible at it. Her sweet tone was not going to make up for the -1/10 service my husband and I...
