Sugar Sheaux — Restaurant in Bossier City

This is a hidden gem in the middle of everything. My wife had no idea that this little place was even in business until a few days ago. Let me tell you, the deserts in this place are awesome. I am very disappointed in myself for not going back sooner because they offer so much that I want to try. We had 2 of the cinnamon rolls, one with brown sugar icing and one with vanilla icing. OMG, the brown sugar iced one was so good I wanted to lick the plate (and I was in my own home, so I could have done it). The vanilla iced one was great as well. My wife also had an oatmeal cream pie cookie that she raved about for an hour after it was already gone. They offer banana pudding, cheesecake, other types of cakes, brownies, etc. This place is a diabetic coma that you would gladly go in to after eating these wonderful treats. I almost want to wait to write this review until after I try the banana pudding...that is my weakness and would so be the determining factor. A friend recommend Sugar Sheaux to me for a birthday cake, and Kacie did not disappoint. I ordered a custom tombstone cake for my hubby’s 50th birthday, and Kacie took my idea and elevated it to another level! It was absolutely stunning! Everyone asked where did you get that gorgeous cake? It was hands down the best red velvet cake any of us had ever tasted. Even better than my beloved grandmother’s recipe. I had never been to her shop until I picked up the cake. When I walked in, I marveled at their beautiful storefront. I was greeted by her grandparents, who are the loveliest people. If you choose this place for your special occasion, make sure you get your cake delivered. Our cake was put in a box that was folding in on itself from the moment we picked it up. While the cake looked great, it was hard to eat. The flavor was decent, but you wouldn't know that because it was impossible to eat. Unless you had a spoon or wanted to use your hands you weren't getting any of this cake in your mouth. Whenever you tried to take a bite it would crumble apart, almost like sand.
