I'm glad I didn't look at reviews before sitting down, because I probably would have gone somewhere else. I don't know what happened, but I apparently had a really different experience from everyone else! The pizza (fennel sausage) was delicious, and the service was good. I let the server know I was boarding in 25 minutes, she said the pizza would take 15-20 and I said I'd risk it. It came out exactly when she said it would.
The crust was good, but nothing to write home about (although it tasted like it had a little sourdough in it, which was a good touch.) It was a little "bready" in a way that's typical at places that don't specialize in pizza, but honestly way better than my expectations for an airport. The sauce/cheese/toppings, though, were fantastic.
To the person who called theirs burnt, and posted a picture -- we might have to agree to disagree on what a good Neapolitan pizza should look like, but mine also came out a bit lighter than yours.
If you're used to high-touch restaurant service, you might find the staff a bit rushed, but frankly I'm an introvert and the only thing I care about in airport food service is efficiency, and I give them an A+.
(I guess a bunch of the other reviews found them to be understaffed and having issues during breakfast. I had dinner, and not at a peak mealtime, so I can't speak to that.)
Oh, and to the people saying it's overpriced... yeah, you're probably right. I'm from the SF Bay Area, so I guess...
Read moreI came through Logan super early on a Saturday, waited in the obvious line and spent $11 on a croissant with butter, jam, and potatoes. I even left a tip at the counter. So I get my food and go to sit at the establishment’s seating. Immediately someone came over and was quizzing me on whether my food came from their restaurant, and seeing that it did, proceeded to ask me to move over to a big group high top table that was set aside for takeout orders. Poorly executed, but not unreasonable. She went on to say “This area is for tipping customers! “
Now I’m seeing red..I showed her my slip that clearly said dine-in, the same order I’d already left a good tip on and she replied a snarky “whatever” and walked away.
Good morning to you too! I’d of course gone in and asked for a menu had I known that that was even an option. I mean why else does one pay $11 for a croissant with a smuckers grape jelly packet?
If the management feels so particular about this, they should have a sign indicating “wait service over there” on a sign or something. I mean talk about tone deaf..it’s an airport, where, by definition, people are in an unfamiliar place.
The words dine-in certainly seemed to fit my breakfast! This is no way to treat your paying, tipping customers. Whatever right? I’d lost my appetite by this point and left after 2 bites of mid to low quality croissant.
Dunkin’ Donuts it was..they were...
Read moreI almost did not come here, but someone posted a pizza pic that just looked really good. I ordered the Fennel Broccoli Pepper pizza and it exceeded my expectation. So much topping that the parts that feel off, I was able to use for my crust. Margarita was not bad. Barbara, my bar tender/server was spot on with everything.
Watching the restaurant, some of the challenges was not service, it was kitchen staff. I think I watched Barbara bring food back 3 times for kitchen staff issues, not her. Many times she said, the ticket asked for x and you gave me y, or this was not done right, etc...
Yes, if you are coming here for a quick in and out, not going to happen, but for someone why travels a lot, 30k miles for 2025 so far, my expectations are not high and expect longer service anywhere. Heck I have waited 20 mins just to get a chick Fil a sandwich in an airport.
Something else, it is pricey. But everything I the airport is pricey.
But if you are patient and polite, it's a good experience.
I am sure people have had bad experience because of a poor service, rush, whatever. No discredit.
I am glad I stopped by, had awesome pizza (yes, I have had better, but this was really good), great service, and a good overall expeirence!
Thank you Barbara and Alta...
