During a recent layover at Logan International Airport, my family and I decided to dine at Legal Sea Foods, and overall, it turned out to be a satisfying experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious—exactly what you'd hope for from a seafood restaurant with such a solid reputation. Every dish we ordered hit the spot, and we left the table full and happy with our choices. The restaurant itself had a clean and vibrant atmosphere, which added to the enjoyable dining experience, especially in the usually hectic airport setting. However, there was one hiccup that left a bit of a sour note. Due to a mix-up with the server, we were mistakenly charged for an extra food that we never intended to order or take. Though we mentioned we didn't want the extra item, it somehow remained on our bill, and we only realized after the fact that we had paid over $30 more than we should have. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it was definitely disappointing, especially since it could’ve been easily corrected. Aside from that oversight, the service was decent and the experience mostly positive. Just be sure to double-check your bill before settling up!

I love flying out of Boston Logan airport so I can get my Legal Sea Foods fix! OMG, they serve the best clam chowder on the planet. The lobster roll is so tasty — crisp and soft bread with super fresh lobster. I like to sub the fries and Cole slaw for a side salad. The Samuel Adams Boston Lager is the perfect pairing. LOVE!

I'm not sure if this moved, but this was actually in Terminal C, just after security.

Rather than getting lunch quickly before heading to the airport, I decided to go to the airport on my way out of Boston with some extra time to try Legal Sea Foods in my terminal. The experience was alright, but nothing too special.

I got the New England Clam Chowder and the Crab Cake Sandwich with Vegetables instead of fries. The Clam Chowder was scalding hot, so much so that I burned my mouth and needed to wait, stirring and blowing into the mug for some time before it was edible. I thought the taste would blow me away, as I've never had Clam Chowder in New England, but it didn't really seem special to me. There wasn't a large amount of seafood in it from what I could tell, and there was nothing giving it a differentiating flavor or freshness.

The Crab Cake sandwich was a bit disappointing. The bread for the sandwich was really good: pillowy and light, so as not to distract from the crab cake or cause it to fall apart. However, the crab cake was tiny, dwarfed by the size of the bread, and it seemed to have a decent amount of filler. I couldn't really verify the freshness, as I didn't feel like I was getting big chunks of crab. The vegetables I got instead of fries turned out to be carrots: I usually really like carrots, but something about these weren't appetizing. The flavor was off for me.

The service wasn't bad, but it also wasn't very fast. I was there for over 30 minutes, which seems like a lot for an airport restaurant when everyone is in a rush. They never asked me about my flight information or situation, so for all they knew, they were making me late for takeoff. Additionally, it was a pretty expensive meal, especially for lunch. I...

My husband and I recently had the misfortune of encountering Denise, the hostess at Legal Sea Food in the Boston airport, and it was an experience we won't soon forget—for all the wrong reasons. Denise's demeanor was nothing short of appalling; she was rude, dismissive, and downright nasty from the moment we approached her stand.

Upon attempting to discuss seating arrangements with her, Denise's attitude was shockingly hostile. She not only brushed off our inquiries with disdain but also made insulting remarks, insinuating that I couldn't be seated without ordering food. When my husband politely requested a seat for one, Denise's response was equally offensive and uncalled for. Her behavior was so repugnant that my husband felt so disrespected that he no longer wanted to patronize the restaurant.

In a last-ditch effort to salvage the situation, I requested to speak with the manager on duty. Unfortunately, even the manager's intervention fell short of rectifying the situation. Instead of taking decisive action to address Denise's unprofessional behavior, he offered nothing more than a vague promise to "talk to her."

In light of this distressing encounter, I strongly advise all potential patrons to steer clear of Legal Sea Food at the Boston airport. The abysmal treatment we received from Denise and the lackluster response from management are indicative of a deeply flawed establishment. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place...

"Legal" is a major Boston restaurant group, so it doesn't seem like the most brilliant idea to label your airport location the "test kitchen" and then not put your best foot forward. We waited in line more than 20 minutes while we and all of the other parties discussed why we should BE waiting at all when both a deuce and a four-top visible at the front corner window were left clean but vacant. We sat at the seating-only "bar" usually for singles. Having been in the restaurant business all of my life, I couldn't imagine why on earth those vacant tables were LEFT vacant and were STILL vacant when we departed nearly forty minutes later when so many potential guests had left, rather than have to wait. So I asked the hostess in a friendly manner if they were short-handed. She seemed surprised by the question, so I explained myself and she rolled her eyes at me and said that she. "needs to keep them open for large parties ". We'll, congratulations, because the restaurant lost two turns of six covers each, holding tables for a "large party" that didn't exist. Chuh-ching?! The food was fine but overpriced. The waiter was terrific but the hostess never smiled once- at anyone, and then rolled her eyes at me when I asked a question as if I were the world's biggest fool. No thanks, when we fly out of Logan again, we'll look for somewhere else to drop fifty bucks at lunch for two persons, each with one...
