Our last meal in Boston as we waited at the airport . It’s an airport … I understand this . However I feel the name of the place does not carry the same weight as in their other locations in town .
Menu is slightly smaller and modified for airports , which was okay . Our server was great and good fun. There was almost no one there as it was a mid afternoon past normal lunch time. Started with a red sangria as I had god earlier in the week in their wharf location : great refreshing and no complaints .
Legal sea food is awesome as to the fact they offer gluten free items and their friers and fish is all GF .
I ordered the crispy fish sandwich which comes with a side of French fries . It was underwhelming compared to what I had food and quality wise earlier in the week . It was more on the airport food side as opposed to restaurant downtown .
Fish was ok slightly greasy and bit over done , and fries were just ok .
Service was good and fast . Food came out very quickly which is good for airports .
Don’t know if I would eat here again but in fairness there is not much else happening at the Boston airport and as I said in the beginning … it’s an airport . Expectations...
Read moreSpend a week in Boston, and ate plenty of good seafood, even including Legal Seafood on the Long Wharf, and this was by far the best dining experience. Now I know it doesn't have the same atmosphere/ambience, as the other locations, but for an airport it was and excellent meal.
The server took care of us right away. Gave us professional, efficient, and helpful service for the entire meal. Even offered to fill up our water bottles before we caught our plane. Shut out to Brian!
Ordered the Half Pound Lobster Roll, with fries and cole slaw. The meal was excellent. The lobster was fresh, warm, and large chunks. The bun was nicely toasted and still warm. The coleslaw was fresh and flavorful. The fries were nice and hot! Our server even brought a little cut of warm butter, that added as needed (some places drench the entire sandwich in butter and ends up falling apart in your hands). This particular meal rivaled the other "top rated" seafood that we had in Boston (and they were good meals).

Read morePros: Despite the poor staff seeming overwhelmed with the large number of customers, they nevertheless remain friendly
Neutral: Crab roll was big, but the taste was just okay -- however, I've never had crab roll before, so I can't tell if the problem is with the food or with me.
Cons: I naively did not ask the "market price" of the crab roll before I ordered it, assuming it would be somewhere in the twenties -- it was $30!! Very confusingly, there is no place to actually order your food -- instead, you just sit anywhere in the vicinity, and basically hope that one of the staff members notices you, realizes you haven't ordered yet and makes their way over to you to take your order. I asked one of the staff what to do and found this out, but I saw a lot of people helplessly wandering around in circles trying to find where they could order food. I recommend sitting at the bar, or as close to the bar as possible, as that area seems to have the most visibility...
