My friend & I walked into the cafe. He's white, I'm Black. He had raved about this shop and I was excited to try it out as I don't get to the North End often.

I went up to the counter (Im 6 feet, you cant miss me). My friend explained that the waitresses come to you and bring you menus. So we found a table by the window.

Now mind you, the place was not busy, in fact, there was a group of 5 young men toward the back and 3 men sitting near us. No one else was there.

So we wait. And we wait. He's trying to get the attention of the people behind the counter. There are 3 of them (A young man, young woman and an older woman at the far end of the counter).

In short we were ignored. I understand if the place was busy, but it was not. Finally my companion and I left. He said maybe they changed their policy but he was here 2 months ago.

So I decided to call. The woman explained the foods they had and I specifically asked her if they had waitresses to serve the patrons and she said yes.

Needless to say I will NOT be coming back. I didn't like the vibes or intention that was put out there.

I'll let YOU decide what you...

Attempted to dine here at 9pm on a Saturday night. Place was busy but had 4 free tables on our arrival. After being seated (immediately), we waited 15 minutes. No server had come to us. We checked at the counter to make sure we weren't supposed to be ordering up there, and were directed back to table. 8 minutes later a server came to us. We were told every one of the food options was unavailable. We ordered 3 drinks. Only one gentleman was working the espresso bar. We waited 25 minutes, and needed to leave before we missed our train home. We flagged our waitress that we had to leave, she offered to change our order to to go, but the batista had too much backed up to move the drinks to to go cups. We handed our server $20 and left.

I hope to return when I can sample the wares and give a more accurate review of...

This small restaurant and pastry shop in the North End certainly has the authentic Italian vibe and is less touristy than some of its neighboring establishments. I've driven past this restaurant many times and always see soccer games or other sporting events playing on the television, and had the opportunity to stop in for some dessert this past weekend. The counter staff was young and energetic and the food was above average and reasonably priced. There were many locals eating when we arrived on Sunday afternoon and it felt like everyone knew each other. I would return to try more of the menu some time, but it seems like this is more of a coffee and dessert spot than a place to get a nice sit down meal. Added points for naming half the menu off famous Italian...

Like others have mentioned, staff is very rude. The guy who was at the cafe was so rude. I asked for a latte macchiato, to which he goes “first, do you know what a macchiato is?”. I’ve been to cafes in Italy where people have been kinder, talk about someone in the “Italian neighborhood”. And then he goes on saying maybe you need a latte. I’m myself a coffee enthusiast, I might not know the difference between a macchiato and a ristreto but sure I can differentiate between a latte and a macchiato. The worst part is he goes on to make one of the worst latte I’ve ever had.

One of my best 👌 places, sometimes I got to have my coffee with my husband and my kids because we are regular customer, the only thing that I didn't like I my last visit is the service it was so bad that I leave the shop I asked for small latter and the lady she leave me waiting more than 10 minutes also the was with other customers who come after me in addition to all of this she made my coffee hot I really didn't appreciate that but it ok I still like this place,my advice for the manager is to have more professional experience to work in his business

Maybe I didn’t get it? Sign says please wait to be seated…. Ok. After a minute staring at the bar I get “sit anywhere”. Ok. I wait… must have to order at the bar? Felt like I was interrupting the 3 behind the bar.. but there were only 8 of us in the whole place. I order…. Wait there? Bring it to me? Who knows at this point? I sit… notice my espresso is up at the bar. Ok, I’ll come get it. Good espresso, really good cake. I’ll be back to try it again. Just during the day this time.
