Man, I was so impressed by my last visit that I felt compelled to finally write a review. And, when my mother compliments a place more than once and doesn’t complain, you know it’s worth the coins. I’ve been to Evergreen 4 times now and it never disappoints. My mother and I found this spot when we were on our way to Faulkner. We were both really hungry and decided on the nearest food place, which happened to be Evergreen Eatery & Cafe. We ordered the Ultimate Evergreen omelette and the classic BLT. The omelette was very satisfying and the home fries that accompanied it was just right. The home fries alone earned them major brownie points. Now, the classic BLT. Just wow. Have you ever had something so heavenly that never tasted quite like the first time again? Such simple ingredients: bread (brioche I think), tomatoes and bacon but, the BLT has been mind blowing EVERY SINGLE TIME. That is SO not an easy feat. My eyes have rolled in euphoria on the the first bite, each of the 4 times I’ve ordered it. And the fries, I’m dying to know where they’re form. So addictive ! The 3rd time I had the BLT, I ordered it with the homemade egg salad (Forest Hills Triple Decker). The most recent order, I added avocado. It was just as delicious with the additions but the classic is just so dayum good, I’m going to order it as is moving forward. It’s doesn’t need all the extra because their execution has been perfection. No pressure :) The BLT was reason enough to write a review but the Evergreen Avocado Toast that I ordered on my fourth visit just sent them over the top. All the ingredients on that toast melded so well together. It was fresh, delicate, but bursting with flavor. What was so impressive though was that it was take out and yet, the attention to detail was impeccable. The carved out lemon wedge and the mini flowers added such a beautiful touch. I’m convinced everything on the menu is going to be delicious. Highly recommended! Already plotting my next visit! Just hoping for a super nice day so we can enjoy our meal on the patio.

I almost breezed past this place because of the small number of reviews, but after further investigation, I realized it's because this is a new restaurant. Am I ever glad I decided to give it a chance! My family and I went for breakfast last Friday, which was its two-week anniversary. We were cheerfully greeted by Sam and seated in the patio area. It was shielded from the street by fences and plants and four colorful birdhouses. The menu had a nice selection of familiar fare as well as dishes with a fun twist, e.g. the Naked BLT. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices, which were delicious as well as beautifully plated. We especially appreciated the portion sizes. They were neither skimpy nor overwhelming, and we all left satisfied but not stuffed. This was reflected in the pricing, which was quite reasonable. At the end of the meal, I asked to speak with the owner Phil so I could let him know how much we enjoyed ourselves and to wish him the best of luck in his newest venture (he also owns JP Seafood Cafe). Phil was lovely and gracious, and it was clear through our conversation how passionate he is about food and his restaurants. Since writing this review, I've returned again, sat indoors and had another fantastic meal accompanied by a great choice of music playing in the background, and I'm going back for breakfast today. Evergreen Eatery is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Treat yourself to a meal there today!

Evergreen Eatery has become my daily ritual, a comforting oasis in the midst of my busy life. From the moment I step inside, I'm greeted with genuine warmth and a familiar smile. The staff, remarkably, remembers my name and my usual order, a small detail that makes a world of difference. The aroma of freshly prepared food fills the air, a delightful prelude to the culinary experience that awaits. The menu is a testament to fresh, quality ingredients, and each dish is crafted with care. The flavors are vibrant and satisfying, consistently exceeding my expectations. Whether I'm indulging in a hearty breakfast before a long workday or savoring a leisurely lunch on my day off, Evergreen Eatery provides the perfect ambiance. The cozy atmosphere invites relaxation, allowing me to unwind and recharge. Beyond the delicious food, it's the sense of community that truly sets this establishment apart. The friendly banter, the attentive service, and the genuine connection with the staff create an experience that feels like home. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place where I feel valued and appreciated. Evergreen Eatery has become an integral part of my daily routine, a source of comfort and joy. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a delightful culinary experience and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
