Hello my name is Sofia and I think that Purple Cactus is a really great restaurant. The meals they sell are organic. For example, your body will be healthy and you will live very long. Believe it or not, you won't get sick that often because the food is so healthy.
In purple cactus the prices aren't too high. You won't need to waste your money on food. Second, you'll also have more money for your life instead of spending it on food. Lastly you can't usually get Mexican food for a low price.
When you go in there, you'll feel like you're in Mexico. They paint purple cacti on the wall. They also paint sand at the bottom of the wall.
That's why you should eat at Purple Cactus!
Purple Cactus could use some work. The service is so-so because when I was going to Purple Cactus, they messed up the whole order. We ordered nachos, a burrito, and 2 smoothies. But they gave us no nachos, a burrito with the wrong stuff in it, and they gave us only 1 smoothy. That's why I think Purple Cactus could use some work.
They could also clean up the bathroom stalls a little better. They could mop the floors too. Once I found something that wasn't water on the floor. Also, they should fix the chairs and tables because the tables are really wobbly. If you drink water and you scooch back and your chair shakes, and your water will spill on you.
They do have really good food, but the restaurant needs is a little work.

I am Lucy and in third grade at the BTU school. l like Purple Cactus. Wait no, I do not like it, I love it. Purple Cactus is the best Mexican restaurant on EARTH! Their food is so fantastic, I never could get tired of eating the melty cheese and flavorful spices on the chicken quesadillas. Also, their smoothies are unbelievable. In a good way. My favorite one is the classic smoothie. It has strawberries, bananas, and orange juice. The service is OK but needs some work. The people working there sometimes look like they're a little bored and need to be cheered up. No restaurant can make a meal like...
Read moreOn Purple Cactus’s website for order delivery what’s stated is free delivery for new customers, which was why I decided to order. Order website has “Purple Cactus” at the top. Order with tax came to about $41, but bc they use Uber as a third party delivery service I was charged $57. Got no receipt with breakdown explaining so it look like I was charged $16 for delivery. No mention of a tip so have no idea how much would’ve gone to the driver. Saw a $5 promotion, still charged for delivery. Bait & switched.
I immediately called to ask that the order be canceled bc this is some BS, they said sure but the manager will give me a call in 10 mins bc the guy who answered couldn’t cancel. 20 mins later I call back bc I didn’t get a callback at all, they said that they couldn’t cancel it either bc they only received the order totaling $41 with no info on delivery charges. Got no receipt breaking down charge either.
And I can’t contact Uber Eats bc you can only reach them for orders placed directly through them on their app. Called my bank who can’t do anything & that I should contact Uber bc that’s who was charged on their end but since I paid Purple Cactus I need to reach out to them to cancel… & then it was too late. Food was delivered & there’s no way this $41 dollars of food can be enjoyed since I paid almost $60 for it. Messed up part is I pay Uber Eats to avoid delivery fees but bc Purple Cactus uses them as third party I paid way more than I would have for delivery & tip.
DO NOT choose delivery on their website. And they need to not say free delivery for new customers if they’re gonna wind up charging them with absolutely no recourse.
EDIT: Finally got receipt from Uber Eats two whole hours after order was placed on Purple Cactus. Charged $5.50 for delivery fee (not free delivery so now I know not to confuse it with “no delivery fee” 🫥) & $7+ for service fee + $8.60 in tip that I had no option to choose. $20 in fees for an order that was actually $38 including tax. Only got $5 promo that offset the delivery fee but for fifty cents. And food was ok but definitely not worth $58. If you’re going to order pick it up, but I’m so turned off that I’m never ordering...
Read moreI was so excited to find this place near by because they had a tofu burrito and my husband and I were from out of town. We missed the chance a few nights and made a commitment to have a light lunch so to save room that night for purple cactus. I'm a stickler for balance and I have to say that this place was tipped in the wrong place. The cashier was almost absent from his ability to Converse that this is how the conversation went. Me: hi how are you? Him....... Me: we'll take a tofu burrito with a side of chips. Him: what kind of tortilla do you want?, wheat, spinach or chili pepper? Me: chili pepper.
I went to hand the card and he says, oh...we only take visa or master card. I said ok let me transfer money and then he said for he or to go, I told him let me make sure I can transfer it first. He proceeds to tell me we only take Mc or Visa and do I want it for here or to go. I told him let me make sure first. So for here or to go? He said once again.
After all that mumbling we got our food and sat. He thought this would be the PERFECT time to begin sweeping a short hair rug with a twig broom our way. We got swept on and he. Began to move the tables and sweep everything, now we're boxed in.
And FYI the food was not worth the hassle. Very basic and not very appetizing . Enough venting.
Stay...
