This store is packed to the gills, but it is all good stuff and it is all organized, so it's a joy to come into the shop and browse for gifts and interesting small items. They have a wonderful selection of coffee and tea implements, including Chemex brewers and filters, and a couple of decent burr coffee grinders. The wall of coffee stuff will catch your eyes first, but what is really fun is to think of an obscure utensil and go looking for it here. There used to be a store called Gadgets in the same space, which was similar in many ways, but Kitchen Witch is better organized than the old place was. This little locally-owned shop is a gem for anyone shopping for cooking, drinking or eating related housewares. They have stuff for a variety of price points, from a dollar or two (maybe you want a tiny ball mesh strainer for some reason?) to over a hundred bucks (high-quality cast iron cookware) and everything in between. Just want to have a look around? That's fine too. Today's purchases were silicone ice cube trays, a ceramic pour-over thing for coffee, and "coffee socks" which are reusable cloth versions of paper coffee filters.

I just LOVE Kitchen Witch. It boosts my mood whenever I go in. A perfect place for fun gifts, and they also sharpen knives and carry pour-over coffee filters. John is so knowledgable (and funny!) I love stopping by to say hi and chat and pick up a fun little something. He's given me tips on so many things, including how to quick pickle anything!
