I recently had the pleasure of stumbling across Florenza Cafe, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. Located in East Boston, this pizzeria offers the best pizza in town, hands down. The secret? Fresh ingredients imported all the way from Naples, giving each bite an authentic and delicious taste that is hard to beat. But it doesn't stop there - the gelato at Florenza Cafe is truly to die for. Creamy, flavorful, and absolutely irresistible. The service at this establishment is exceptional, with a team that is not only professional but also incredibly friendly and accommodating.
My personal favorite is the pepperoni pizza - so good that I couldn't resist having it three nights in a row! I highly recommend Florenza Cafe to anyone looking for a true taste of Italy right here in Boston.
One small suggestion for improvement - the entrance to pizzeria can be a bit hard to spot due to the discreet black and white sign. I believe adding an Italian flag outside would make it easier for customers to locate this hidden gem. I have already recommended Florenza Cafe to several friends, and while some had trouble finding it, they agreed that it was worth the search.

Read moreWe were in Boston for a Red Sox game and stayed at an Airbnb in Eastie, so we weren't far from Florenza. We were tired from a day of visiting the art museum at Harvard, so we ordered a pepperoni pizza and an alla vodka pizza for takeout. The pizzas were waiting for us when we arrived about 25 minutes after ordering.
I was taken aback at the quality. The crust was thick, so I thought it would be heavy and too bready, but it turned out to be a wonderfully light and airy foccacia crust. It reminded me of the amazing pizza al taglio we got from Gabriele Bonci's Pizzarium in Rome--it had the same delicate texture and airiness.
The toppings were almost as impressive. Our pepperoni pizza had lots of small, cupped slices of pepperoni and the alla vodka sauce with marscapone and bacon was absolutely delicious. One large and one small pizza was plenty to satisfy our family of 4 adults with enough left over to reheat for lunch the next day.
I'm from southern Connecticut, not far from New Haven, so I'm used to outstanding pizza and I'm a little more difficult than most to impress. We had some really good meals on this trip, but this was easily the best. Kudos!
I'll be back on my next trip to...
