My mother and I came to Boston to check out colleges, and after checking out Boston College, we needed somewhere to eat. We saw on Google Maps, “Fratello’s Kebab and Souvlaki” and we immediately knew that that was where we were going without hesitation. It was almost like fate.
When we entered, my mother and I were speaking in Russian, as my mother is of Ukrainian descent and that was our language, the Armenian restaurant owner, Aryt, and his wife, Anya, welcomed us with open arms, in our home language.
We ordered the Trout, Lamb Kebab, Bean Salad, and Eggplant and Pepper Salad, and Chicken liver. The head chef, Artazh, really knew what he was doing. The trout was moist and flavorful, the Salads were outstanding, and the kebab was phenomenal.
This restaurant was so good that it now plays an important role in my future college decision. I recommend this restaurant to anyone nearby and to anyone who might want to try something new...
Read moreMy husband and I were so excited to see this wonderful restaurant is opening again! We met the owner and the chef and they were incredibly welcoming and kind! The place is family owned and you can tell that the restaurant and the food reflects that! The Vingeret salad was absolutely delicious. We also tried the eggplant salad, which was out of the world. We ended up ordering skewers of the meat selection and pork ribs and everything was season exceptionally and it was all so juicy! To top it off, the lavash was divine - haven’t really had lavash like that since I spent time in Yerevan. I’m beyond excited that we can try more dishes, as the restaurant fully opens! Love this place, love the owners, and they’ve got me and my husband as...
Read moreSO GOOD. We live right around the corner from Fratello's, and we are SO psyched to have a new, high quality restaurant to choose from. So far, we've had shawarma plates, pizza, and sandwiches, and all of them have been fantastic. It's clear that they take real pride in their food (quality ingredients).
The pork shawarma plate I got was super good, especially the babaganoush that came with it. The pepperoni pizza was also awesome, and pleasantly different from all the other pizza places around here. And the sandwiches... oh my god, the sandwiches were amazing. Best sub bread in the area, without a doubt.
