Joe's Famous Subs & Pizza — Restaurant in Boston

Not only am I disappointed that there is no parking closely and conveniently no longer, I purchased a large sub. Being that I was born and raised in Boston I know what the large sub looks like, however the sub I was given was a small. Once I was about 3 miles away I noticed a was a small sub and called and asked if I can bring back the sandwich so someone can verify that it is indeed a large sub. My total came to $16 that would be a sub and a soda. I kindly gave them the 20 leaving a $4 tip. I called and explained that I believe I have a small sub and not a large, when I got to the restaurant Joe the tall slender guy that feels like he has an attitude problem reassured me that it was a large sub, and he took it from my hand and said again that was a large sub and that someone is making me another sub. So I waited ... and waited. The sub I was given was double the size of the one that I brought back to the restaurant confirming that I was right, they tried to give me a small sub portraying a large one. One thing a person will not do is cheat me out of my money and the truth. I will never return there again! The subs aren't as good as my integrity! And the dope fiends lingering around your car once you pull up to just quickly get food. All set on this fraudulent neighborhood sub shop. SERVED US SPOILED MEAT!

Your results may vary, heard about how great this place was. Ordered 2 medium subs online and picked up. Portions were huge for a medium and packed full of meat. Guy behind counter was so nice to give us 2 free bags of chips without asking and thought “how nice” and nothing more.

Was super surprised at how much meat came in a medium! However when we ate it we noticed the meat smelled and tasted spoiled. Felt like they cooked up their meat that was about to go bad and put it on our subs. Felt like they knew about this hence the free chips out of nowhere.

Few weeks passed and wanted to try this place again. Instead of two mediums we ordered one large to share since the portions were so big.

The large this time around was way smaller with way less meat. The medium we ordered last time made this order look like a small.

However the quality, taste and flavor were WAAAAY better. Made me realize why they say this is one of the best steak and cheeses in Boston.

2 stars for serving us spoiled meat first time around but an additional star for making our next order fresh. Can def see why this place is popular.

I have been eating Joe's sub sandwiches for years. And I must say THEY ARE DELICIOUS!!!I l Iove that they are HUGE, and that you get your money's worth. Joe's one of the ONLY subshop that is left that still have that sub shop, that makes me remember one of the foods from when I was in high school. It brings a smile on my face when me and my daughter goes In Joe's, I almost always have a different story to tell with every order I get. I would tell my daughter how Mr. Joe would call sparkle because of my big eyes. He new I was coming to get my regular sub sandwiche. My: large steak onion and cheese NO TOASTED bread, mayonnaise on the bread, with a little hot peppers on the bread.( and he would new that that ment red hot chili spreade on the bread) I am second generation eating at Joe's, and now my daughter is the third. I am SO HAPPY, AND THE NEIGHBOR HOOD is VERY blessed that his son continues to serve the food, with the same flavor as his father did.
