Mangia Mangia North End — Restaurant in Boston

I remember this place all too well back in 2008. Brings back so many memories of when I worked in the North End. I went there nearly every week for several months. Quality food at a good price. Then one day, I ordered a sandwich with a side of fries. Nothing unusual. But this time I got something extra on my fries! A big wad of grey hair right on top of my fries! There was no mistaking it. An unmistakable wad of grey hair right on top of the French fries I paid money for that also managed to mix in deep with nearly every fry. Or at least I think. Pardon me for not checking each and every fry that had hair sticking to it and calculating a ratio of hairless to non-hairless fries. But needless to say, the surprise hair on my fries made them unappetizing. At least to me. Maybe other patrons would have enjoyed this addition. Maybe it was a topping one could order. Or maybe it's something I should have called the Board of Health about. Either way, I decided to never visit this eatery again. But my apologies for avoiding such a beloved...

I stumbled upon this little Italian cafe last week and was thrilled that they serve breakfast all day. I was on a short layover from the west coast so a fresh, cooked to order breakfast at noon really hit the spot.

The best part of this little cafe is the people. The staff and the locals who came in and out seemed to truly care for each other like family.

I enjoyed the experience so much that when I flew back into Boston this week I made the trek all the way from Copley Place to North End to try a hot sub for lunch.

Once again I got a great meal, cooked to order at a decent price and was made to feel welcome by both the staff and the regulars.

We were absolutely mistreated! Very rude servicer. We got to the place at 13h45m and the wayter clearly wanted to close at 14h. He made it very clear, even closing the door with key while we were within the place. On top of it, he had an attitude against a couple with 3 young kids, which is not acceptable anywhere. Never again. You could have simply politely said that you wouldn't attend the potential customers that went in your store and we would have happily walked away.
