I was planning on going to Starbucks with my husband, and I’m SO GLAD we didn’t! This place is amazing! Ambiance: 4.2/5.We were surrounded by North End’s cozy, red colored brick walls and sat next to the windows! There’s bar seating too. Windows had lovely planter boxes and we enjoyed looking at pedestrians. Music is smooth and jazzy. Pair it with something chocolatey or nutty like the sticky bun or the Nutella pancakes and, good lord! - does one feel like they are melting. con - honestly a given in a city like Boston: spaces are going to be cramped and seating arrangements may be atypical. Also: We heard a dog bark and realized a larger family had brought one in and were seated and the dog was under the table. I have a dog myself and love dogs but i do find it a little uncomfortable to have a dog where food is being served. My dog is super furry and we find fur all over the apartment so I was relieved I was not sat next to the dog. If that dog shakes and is not a hypoallergenic dog, fur might be released into the atmosphere and get on people’s meals and may be allergic to dogs. The place is small and the windows were not open. If the dog was not there, I would give 4.9 out of 5. Owners of the restaurant should be more strict on pets in an eating establishment. Food: 5/5! We will be coming back! Mediterranean omelette with salad: SO GOOD, OH MY! Perfectly seasoned omelette with the most stretchy, gooey cheese! It was fun twirling it around my fork. Onions and tomatoes were finely chopped which provided an even spread and harmonious bites! The salad had sliced Persian cucumbers and diced tomatoes with a spring mix and topped with creamy Italian dressing! Nutella pancakes with FRESH fruit: “a plate from heaven” as my husband says! Especially if you like Nutella. If not, there’s an option without! The towering pancakes are fluffy, like a cloud. We were amused with the tower and how it jiggled as we shook the plate! Ha! See photo! The fresh fruits are sliced strawberries and bananas. With a cute blackberry on top. I’m glad it’s not the syrupy kind of fruit! Sticky bun: crispy, sweet, warm, buttery and nutty! It was a flavor that changed in complexity in every bite and left lasting pecan notes! When slicing down the middle, chopped pecans were in every pocket! Orange juice: SO FRESH. Seriously. Cold and refreshing, with an ever so slight bitterness, and more of an orange color than yellow and with pulp and foam! Served in a mason jar and straw. We enjoyed slurping up that last bit of foam! Cappuccino: usually I request for sugar, however, this time I enjoyed it without! So not bitter but kindly woke me up! Con- I truly struggled to find one! I guess if I want to be really picky, the milk my husband ordered was served in a cappuccino mug and not a glass, but who cares! We laughed about it as we thought it was kind of charming! Service: 4.8/5. Staff is attentive and friendly! They gave us water right away as well as a jug and service was quick! The server noticed that my husband could not finish even a third of his Nutella pancakes because we shared the Mediterranean omelette and salad and it was a BIG portion so the server looked concerned and asked if my husband enjoyed it! I’m sure if we hadn’t, they would have taken it off the bill :) we told her we loved it so much, that we took a picture of it and sent it to our friends! We received to-go boxes for them and I am certain my husband will enjoy them later today! Con- the pancakes came 5-10 minutes later than my omelette so my husband and I shared the omelette and side salad while we wondered if the nutella pancakes were even ordered. Again, I didn’t mind sharing, as portions were big! Just a little anxiety! We’ve been forgotten before at other restaurants so we were relieved once his pancakes came out! We would have liked it if the entrées came out at the same time. We will be coming back! Come early when it opens! It gets full quickly :)

I had high hopes for Mood Restaurant Café, but unfortunately, the service completely ruined it for me. The waitress who’s always there (you’ll know exactly who she is) was extremely rude from the moment we arrived. She didn’t greet us, didn’t offer water, didn’t bring plates for our appetizers, and didn’t even let us know there was a mocktail menu. She never checked in on us once. When it came time to pay, we were using cash and she stood awkwardly hovering over us the entire time. I had to ask her to please give us some privacy — it was incredibly uncomfortable and unnecessary. The food didn’t help the situation either. My Mediterranean omelette came out after the rest of the table had already been served, and it was cold and bland. The waitress told me it would be ready shortly, but when it finally arrived, it clearly hadn’t been made fresh. To top it off, there was a table behind us where the customer politely pointed out the poor service, and instead of handling it professionally, she started yelling at them — saying “well, you guys didn’t have a reservation” as if that justified anything. I’ve worked in customer service for 15 years, and I’ve never witnessed behavior like that. Then the chef came out and aggressively told the guests to leave. It was honestly shocking. One bad staff member can destroy the reputation of an entire establishment, and sadly, that’s what’s happening here. Take accountability, train your staff, and most importantly, treat your guests with the basic respect they deserve. Not returning. Not recommending.

A Boston Gem with Amazing Flavors and Service I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mood Restaurant in Boston, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is full of delicious options, but I especially recommend the pistachio coffee, zucchini pancakes, and omelettes. The pistachio coffee is simply amazing. It's rich, creamy, and has a wonderful nutty flavor. The zucchini pancakes are light and fluffy, and they're served with a delicious yogurt sauce. And the omelettes are cooked to perfection and filled with fresh ingredients. But what really made my experience at Mood Restaurant special was the outstanding service. Our server, Amina, was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great meal. She was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Mood Restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in...
