I used to go to the old location on A Street all the time from when they opened until they closed. This was my first time at their newer location since I moved to another city.
Before you judge my answer as a bad time it was not in the least. To clarify it was Sunday morning before the St Patrick's Parade a few blocks away yesterday(3/19/2023). Keep that in mind.
We got there about 15 minutes before 11. There was a massive crowd seated. Many people were waiting for food. Pretty much half of the tables had food and were eating and only like two were waiting to pay or leave after paying. So we knew there would be a wait. We put our names down for a table for four and sat in there extra chairs set aside for waiting.
People were waiting all around us. Some waiting for takeout and other's to sit. Roughly 3 to 4 tables were before us. We finally got to sit around 11:20. We ordered and we waited. Food was coming out so fast. Table after table got their food. Ours took a little bit since we ordered after everyone else but we were fine with that knowing full well how busy a regular Sunday is here let alone when a massive influx of people coming in for a parade want breakfast before it.
Our food came and it was awesome. I got the linguica egg and cheese on a grilled bulkie roll and home fries which was great. Bulkie roll was grilled perfectly and the egg was fried just right.
My niece got a breakfast burrito with ham eggs and cheese. The burrito was pretty big and the eggs were scrambled extremely fluffy. I would have to guess they used about 4 to 5 eggs. It was big. She enjoyed it and her very crispy (how she ordered them).
My girlfriend and my brother both ordered a 'My Favorite'. Carved ham egg and cheese on a grilled bulkie. They both loved their sandwiches and home fries.
My brother ordered a side of the turkey hash. We shared it. Everyone was happy with it.
All in all a great time and very worth the wait.
if anyone from My Diner sees this, great hustle by all the servers, the buslady, and the kitchen staff. We saw you all working hard and...
Read moreI went here today and I have never experienced such rude service before this. I order 2 eggs and turkey bacon, which the 2 egg plate is $8.50. When I get the check I am charged $14.95 for the two egg plate and my iced tea so I mention I was overcharged. The server at the counter, older lady, hands me the menu and says this is what you paid for - pointing at the 3 egg plate with turkey bacon. I did not order the 3 egg plate nor did I get 3 eggs. I told her this and she said you only asked for 2 eggs, and so you’re going to charge me for the 3 egg plate but then only give me 2 eggs and not say anything?? I told her this was incorrect and I can’t be charged for what I didn’t order. If the 2 egg plate doesn’t include turkey bacon that should be specified or they should ask if I want the 3 eggs and then I would have at least been getting what I paid for?? If I knew I would have gotten the turkey bacon sandwich for 795. Regardless the server rolled her eyes and walked away from me completely ignoring me. I was charged for something I didnt even get and the lady was incredibly rude. Super...
Read moreMy family and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, attention, parking and food. We ordered the chicken noodle soup, which came in a mini clay pot— delicious, the French toast with turkey bacon medium sunyside eggs, a second with scrambled eggs and regular bacon, an omelette and pancakes with bacon and fruit salad. The waitress forgot our corn muffin. But she brought the rest plus the smoothie, orange juice, seltzer and my coffee. Coffee was out of this world. No milk or sugar needed! Thank you for the parking space in the back. It was difficult to find parking in Boston with all the tool away, residents only parking spaces. Parking lots were available but some were too pricey and some were closed for renovation. Make sure to order the French toast!!! I wish I had taken pictures. But you can see from other reviews. They had good pics for the French toast and...
