Very disappointed with our experience with Yankee Line. We did not hire them, but unfortunately our tour company used them for a fall foliage tour of the Northeast. Understandably, this is a busy time of year and coaches are in short supply, but simple coach maintenance and driver training would have given our group a much better experience. The coach had several problems, including a broken seat and non-working electrical chargers. But the driver was the biggest issue. While he was a safe driver, he was very inexperienced and had no customer service skills. It's the job of the driver to handle bags but he didn't hustle to load and unload bags from the coach and so people in our group had to pitch in to help him. At one point, I observed him strolling around the hotel while customers loaded the bags! He didn't seem familiar with GPS and we wasted time with directions. He had not been trained in how to take care of the bus. The battery was dead one morning on our coach, causing problems with scheduling. I'm surprised that a tour company would entrust their valuable clients to a company like this one as it was a definite detriment to the...
Read moreUPDATE Everytime I have ever dealt with Yankee they have been top notch, simply the best, until tonight. I am disabled and I use an electric bike to get around. On my own I cant do more than 200 ft or 1 flight of stairs. The driver flat out refused to help me. When I got on the bus, after help from a T worker, the driver smugly said, "Wherever your getting off you'll have to do that yourself, once I sit down I dont get up." When I got to my destination other passengers had to help me retrieve my bike. When I asked his name or an ID#, he refused and flipped out on me.( There is alot more to this story, and a slight god complex, but Ill keep it short) I wont hold it against the whole company due to one bad experience. I did call to the company so lets see how they handle this. They deserve 5 stars, not 3. Edit: Management did call back and situation was handled in a...
Read moreOn 2/15/25 I crossed the crosswalk at Beverly St and Valenti Way on a walk sign. I crossed in front of an SVU and behind him was the Yankee Coach bus. The minute I stepped on the sidewalk, the Yankee Coach bus blew its air horn at me! I’m disabled and walk with a forearm crutch. I have multiple brain injuries, as well as autonomic dysfunction, so blowing its horn caused my cortisol levels to elevate, heart rate to elevate and blood pressure to elevate. Why would someone be that impatient, ignorant, and insensitive to a disabled person crossing in a crosswalk?! It’s road rage! Whenever the MBTA uses Yankee Coach Shuttle buses, they drive like crazy. I’ve seen them run red lights, not stop for people in the crosswalk, etc. They feel entitled to break every traffic rule they can. This is out of control. He should be terminated immediately...
