I visited this place on Dec 4, 2004 at around 7.30 pm and had some wine at the bar counter to pass time while waiting for my flight. There was a Chinese bartender/waiter by the name of Tony H who completely ignored my presence even as he chatted with and engaged other customers who all happened to be white while I was the only black customer at that time. After I had been sitting there for a while with him pretending not to have noticed me, I signaled for his attention and he came over reluctantly and took my order. This turned out to be the pattern for the entire time I was there and had my 3 glasses of wine. He would ignore me but whenever I called him to come over he would ask a white man who was sitting in the bar stool next to me unbothered and scrolling through his phone "Are you ok buddy?" Not once did he come over to ask me if I was ok and I had to signal him any time I wanted a refill. I found this to be very unprofessional and this bartender gave off racist overtones. So is this the new normal? Was he trying to play his part in the collective hatred towards black people especially black women like myself? I still gave him a tip despite his horrendous service. It is funny how some talk about stopping Asian hate but some of these Asians are very good at showing hate to other ethnic groups they deem "inferior" to them which is very unfortunate. This guy did not know me but decided that I did not deserve his services. I am an accomplished professional with bachelor's and master's degrees but do not treat other human beings with such hate...
Read moreOverall, this was a highly disappointing, dining experience. Service was horrendous., and the food was lacking.
My server was incredibly slow at all aspects when it came to drink orders, and taking my food order. I was a solo diner as I was traveling by myself, and noticed she spent more time chatting up the tables with larger groups, obviously working harder for a large tip. A food runner brought me my food and then I needed a drink refill and condiments and it took her quite a while. This restaurant is at an airport so you would think a sense of urgency isn’t expected trait when they hire servers but it doesn’t seem to be the case at this location.
I ordered a cheeseburger that didn’t come with any sauce and had to wait a while for ketchup. They were out of regular fries, something I don’t think any restaurant I’ve eaten at ever, has managed to do.
When I was ready for my bill, I had to flag her down. Tell her I needed my check, in which they have you pay on a handheld machine she then said “OK no problem” then proceeded to bust the table across from me and talk to the patrons(a group of 5, who were there after me, and have a lively conversation with them) and then go to the table next to me Stowe while I’m waiting for my check so I can get on my flight.
It took me over an hour (73minutes) to order, to receive a subpar cheeseburger without any flavor and eat fast and have to patient wait for my check and finally get out and leave... If you’re in a hurry, this is not the...
Read moreAwful awful service. I walked up to the bar at 6:40 on Sunday 11/20 and was “helped” by an older blonde lady. I told her my card had been getting some issues but I’m pretty sure it would work, if she could just try to charge me for a drink that I planned on getting first to make sure my card, that was frozen because I’m out of state, would work. She didn’t understand and said she liked have to delete the test drink, I tried explaining again a different way that I was pretty sure it would work, and if it did I actually wanted to drink. She made a comment about me not having enough money on the card, which I said I had plenty, I was just from out of state and it was temporarily frozen. She threw her hands up, still not understanding and rang in a random drink and she said it did go thru but she canceled the transaction and now had to have her manager delete it, in a very aggressive tone. I told her that if she had understood what I said before she acted that we would t be in this situation, that I was going to tell her a drink I actually wanted and then get some dinner if it went thru, she seemed to understand as I’m crying out of frustration from being treated like I’m broke and too young and can’t afford then, what I was trying to have her to do. I left my chair and told her I couldn’t do this and walked out. After the AMAZING service I had in the Burlington better I expected at least slightly better. After 5 days in mass, I guess I finally encountered my...
