UPDATE #2- they haven’t changed the self check out OR bathroom situation the bathroom floors are covered in pee! so how do you expect people to use your toilet without it getting covered in PEE? i guess we need to take more drastic measures since reviews don’t do ANYTHING!

Update#1.. they got rid of ALL of the self checkout so prepare to wait in line for a while during rush times. They don’t even have a 12 items or less isle//register so if you go in to just buy a soda even at 9:30pm prepare to wait at least 10 minutes in line. it’s a mess.

lastly
they got rid of ALL of the bathrooms (except 1) like they literally disappeared. i recognize that there is an opioid epidemic but ALL humans (from all walks of life) deserve to have access to a clean bathroom and privacy (that may be a homeless addict’s ONLY time the entire day they get any sort of privacy) and frankly i find it disgusting that anyone is being denied use of the bathroom. & it gets in the way of the employees work flow! they frankly act really annoyed when we ask. it is clear corporate or whoever made this change does NOT value or respect your customers the way we have always valued you.

last time i went in i was denied use of a bathroom when i was 7 days postpartum and it was imperative that i used the WC before i left. for me.. it’s the lack of respect for the common man. pay your employees more and train them how to use narcan. you guys could be saving lives instead you are making ppls...

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to shop in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, look no further than the Dorchester Target. Walking in, you’re immediately greeted by a sea of empty shelves, like a grocery store after a zombie outbreak. Need toothpaste? Too bad—it’s locked up like it committed a felony. Want to grab some deodorant? Hope you brought a sleeping bag, because you’ll be waiting 45 minutes for an employee to wander over with the sacred key.

Speaking of employees, there are exactly two: one guarding the self-checkout like a prison warden and the other mysteriously disappearing into the stockroom, never to return. Cashiers? Ha! This is a cashier-free utopia where you do all the work yourself, except half the registers are frozen, and the one that does function demands manager approval for buying something as dangerous as a pack of gum.

At this point, you might be thinking, Well, at least I can browse! No, you cannot. Because there is nothing to browse. The store is a vast wasteland of disappointment. It’s like they’re playing retail limbo—how low can inventory go before the store is just an empty building with a giant red bullseye?

Honestly, the only thing that isn’t locked up or out of stock is my frustration. So if you enjoy scavenger hunts with no winners, long waits for no reason, and an overall experience that makes you question your life choices, Dorchester Target is the place for you!

One star, but only because I...

Target South Bay is a harrowing shopping experience that will leave you trembling in fear. As you enter the store, a suffocating sense of unease settles over you like a thick, oily fog. The dim lighting, twisted aisles, and ominous silence create an atmosphere of dread that seems to permeate every corner of the store.

But it's the workers who truly inspire terror. They lurk in the shadows, their movements jerky and unnatural, and their eyes hollow and lifeless. Their empty, soulless voices greet you, and it's as if they're not human at all, but some twisted automaton. They seem to be programmed to ensnare unsuspecting shoppers and keep them trapped in the labyrinthine depths of the store.

One worker in particular stands out from the rest. Its eyes burn with a feverish intensity, and its voice is filled with a manic urgency that sends shivers down your spine. Instead of warning you to leave, this worker tries to lure you into signing up for a Red Card, with a slick charm that seems to be part of some sinister agenda.

If you value your sanity and well-being, steer clear of Target South Bay. Its twisted aisles and hollow-eyed workers are not worth any potential discounts or rewards. Protect yourself from its dark and malevolent influence, and avoid this store...

I EXPERIENCED RACISM!!! First of all, the store is terrible! You wait for the locks to open for the product you want to buy and they never come to help. You have to give your hours to buy a product. The products are never replenished. They have a Greek cashier and this man was constantly rude and snide towards me and my wife because I am Turkish. He called us ‘stealing’
(While they were the ones who stole our food from the Turkish kitchen 😀) Even though I was a customer, he was never polite as an employee. We tried to talk him down and remained silent about what he said but he did the same thing the next time we came. We told another employee about this and wanted to complain but no one cared. DISGRACE!!! You employ racist people Target

I am surprised by all the recent bad reviews. I don’t live in Boston, but I come here at least 6 times a year and I truly enjoy coming to this store! Good Lightning, ample aisles and well stocked. I must admit that during COVID time there were empty shelves, however, as of March 2022, that is not the case as you may see in my pictures. Each time I come here there are merchandising staff organizing and replenishing the shelves. You can find clothes for all sizes (petite and plus included) with a very good selection and good prices. My most favourite is the Home department. Lots of options, even though not too many decorative pillows. There is a CVS and a Starbucks in- store so, very convenient for a multi-shopping experience.

The lady at the self checkout (today 7/9) refused to sell me the item that they put on the shelves for clearance. She said they are not on the system and should be removed. She took the items back. She also didnot believe the items at that low price and thinking im telling lie. I asked her to go with me to the shelves but she refused to go and talked on the radio to ask someone to remove the items. I went to take the picture and showed her on my way out to prove im was not telling lie(attached picture). She then spoke less and walk away. Such a bad experience shopping at this store.
