If I could give anything less than 1 star I would. 7/20/15 We get to the restaurant our waiter ask what we like to drink, I tell her I'm allergic to tequila 3 times! So I ask for a piña colada which is made with rum, my friend tells the waiter piña colada are made with rum! She brings 2 piña colada we take a sip they taste funny, we call her and asked what's in the drink, she tells us is margarita mix!! So I asked, does it have tequila, she reply "no" the margarita mix does but is not pure tequila, so she's telling me the piña colada don't have tequila, and the margarita mix does, and the piña colada is made with margarita mix, not tequila. So it does have TEQUILA! What part of I'm allergic to tequila she didn't understand! Then she tell us this is how we make piña colada here at Sol Azteca!' Really!! You couldn't have told me this when I asked , and we told you Im allergic to tequila! Of course I had taken a sip of the drink my mouth is getting swollen, I start drinking water, we get the bill, she waved the drinks but we still had to paid for the queso asado and nachos that we order but never got to our table! Very disappointed, I was looking forward to discovering what everyone like about Sol Azteca. I don't think I'll go...

I’ll start with the good part- my enchiladas verdes were quite good. Ok, now for the not so good… the hostess was rude and sat us at a cramped corner table even though the restaurant was EMPTY. (I can understand why!). The service was terrible. We were never checked on, our drinks were never refilled. We sat waiting for SOMEONE to acknowledge us and sat waiting for a good 20 minutes for our server to even come near our table again. While my meal was good, the other meal that was ordered was not. The supposed beef tostadas were 90% beans and it didn’t taste good at all. Oh, and let’s talk about the water in the bathroom - i nearly burned my hands when the water that came shooting out of the faucet was BOILING hot! There’s apparently a sign in the men’s room warning of this but I did not see one in the women’s bathroom. Guess they’ll fix it when someone sues for severe burns from washing their hands. You can’t control the temperature of the water either! Very disappointing experience and with so many other places to eat in the area, I won’t waste my time giving this place a second chance. If I were you, I wouldn’t bother giving it a...

From a totally vulnerable state, I will humbly admit my wrong in accepting Sol Azteca as anything close to adequate place to eat. I don't think through any concise wording I'd ever be able to paint the image of just how disappointing my meal here was. Sad, wet, hollow, soggy, rank, overpriced, ingenuine. Maybe some of those terms will do their job at deterring you from ever coming here, but if you're still, for whatever reason, feeling inspired, I wish you nothing short of the best of luck. We were given no time to think over our order, and service outside of this was equally horrific. Our waiter had actually spilt water into my sorry excuse of a dish when trying to lean over the table and fill my cup, unprompted. While eating, the rest of the restaurant was totally empty, so I'm not sure what the rush was to get us out as soon as possible, but in the end it seems that they were successful in pushing us away, thankfully for good. If you want Mexican food, please find somewhere else. If you want a regrettable night however, then I think you just found the...

BEST FRESH SALSA This place has one of the best fresh salsas and guacamole! The nachos are gonna makes you feel full. However it is best suited for a table of 3 or more. They drinks are good and the staff are accommodating with the customer request. I ordered a guava premium drink and asked them to make it spicy and they really surprised me :) The enchiladas were great as well. Special mention to the in house spicy sauce. They are delicious and you won’t feel the spicy for a second. After you take a taste, you are gonna feel a burn down your throat. I like spicy and it was perfect for me. Would I recommend this restaurant: hell, yeah. It is a good place for a dinner date :)

Visited this place on a fine evening, luckily we got a table while most of the time you have to reserve one in advance. Enjoyed the outdoor dining and we got the combinations and steak. Firstly, their chips and salsa were amazing and really one of the best I have ever had. It was really fresh and delicious. Drinks were amazing with lot of booze in it. Steak, beans, salads, cheese, chicken, beef, tacos and everything was great and really well cooked. Definitely a great place to visit and customer service was fantastic they were very polite, funny and friendly. Little pricey but it's in the busy Brookline Beacon Street. Will definitely visit again 😊😊😊😊👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

Sol Azteca is a classic Mexican restaurant where you can get traditional dishes and excellent margaritas. I’ve been here several times and I’ve never had a bad entree. I’ve had the enchiladas and the quesadillas and really liked them! One thing I’ll make mention of is the queso asada appetizer. It’s not like normal queso which I associate with a creamy thick cheese sauce. Ours was more like melted cheese that kind of stuck to the cast iron skillet it was in. It was still good, but it was more solid and greasy than expected.
