1 Star – Disappointing Return Visit
I had previously enjoyed a wonderful meal at Terramia Ristorante, particularly the vegan gnocchi, so I returned with my partner tonight hopeful for a similarly positive experience. Unfortunately, this visit was profoundly disappointing from start to finish.
Despite having a reservation, we waited an unusually long time just to be acknowledged by our server. When our server, Kerri, finally arrived, she seemed immediately irritated and dismissive. Aware of how busy and cramped the restaurant was, I placed our full order and requested the check upfront in an attempt to be efficient and respectful of the staff’s time. Instead of appreciation, we were met with more frustration—Kerri walked away visibly annoyed.
The food arrived along with the check, but Kerri did not stop to check in or ask how the meal was. Upon reviewing the bill, we noticed an error and had to flag her down to address it. She briefly returned with a revised check, which still contained a mistake. At that point, we decided to forgo dessert entirely. We had to enlist another server’s help just to finalize the bill.
What followed was deeply unprofessional and embarrassing: Kerri took the receipt, crumpled it in her hand, and began loudly arguing with me in front of a full dining room about what I had originally ordered. When I clarified that we were actually undercharged and no longer wanted the gelato, she left abruptly and returned with the corrected bill.
This was a shocking display of poor service and unacceptable behavior. What was once a restaurant I recommended to others is now a place I will never return to. It’s unfortunate that such a memorable first visit was followed by an experience so marred by rudeness and...
Read moreWe ate here in April 2025. A member of our party of three made a reservation on a Sunday and the place was pretty empty when we arrived at 5:00pm. People came and went while we were there and it never did fill up.
My partner and I both had the misto salad, which seemed to lack any sort of dressing. It was moderately fresh, the texture seemed like the salads were made ahead of time and refrigerated until served.
I had the ragu Bolognese pappardelle, thinking it would be meaty. It was not. It was pretty bland. The server was pretty stingy with the fresh ground black pepper and rushed away from the table after a couple of turns of the grinder so I was not able to ask for more before the pasta got cold.
My partner had the much acclaimed veal chop. He found it to be very tender and also bland, although he said the mushrooms on top had flavor. It makes a spectacular presentation, but the flavor was lacking.
Our friend had the lamb shank which she reported was also very tender and nearly flavor free.
Our wine was as described on the menu and we were content with our choices.
We each ordered a dessert. I had the flourless chocolate cake. It was a thin sliver with what tasted like Hershey's syrup drizzled over it. Not my thing. My partner had the bread pudding. He reported that the bread part was good but the caramel sauce was too sweet for his taste. The restaurant does not have coffee or espresso, which would have helped us to cut the sweetness of the desserts. "No hot drinks."

Read moreThey texted 30 minutes before the reserved time that our table was ready, which was fine but they then texted 3-4 more times all within 5 minutes, which was odd and slightly annoying. We were not late, and even showed up 5 minutes early. The restaurant was not busy either, so I'm unsure why they were so adamant about sending all those texts. The employee came over and was not welcoming, instead saying something similar to, "We texted and called so many times, and you guys didn't answer. You were supposed to confirm with us." I would understand this, however, there was no "Confirm" option in the text message, no directions to confirm otherwise, and I was not able to answer their call as I was out beforehand. As we were sitting down, the employee changed their mind and quickly made us get up and move somewhere else to "keep the balance of the room." There was only one plate/silverware set on our table even though there were three of us. They didnt give us an extra two sets until we had to flag them down. The bread was cold and hard, and we were told we would get 2-3 different types of dips to go with it, however, we only got one. The food came out and mine was so underwhelming (the ravioli). It was cold, and the "sauce" equated to flavored water. The vegetables were soggy and you could tell they were probably frozen veggies (otherwise just not fresh).
