BU Student here! I honestly love going to Marciano Commons (Marcys) every day!
I will say that basically the same food is served here, with the exception of a few departments. That being said, I don't mind that fact! I will eat literally the same thing every day and be fine! It is very predictable what Marcys will and will not have.
Also the bakery is AMAZING. They are always churning out new creative sweets that I like to sample!
I absolutely love coming here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! One thing to watch out for is what I call "rush hour" which basically is weekdays from 11am to 3pm where it is really busy there. If you go before or after those times though it is so nice!
I love the views of Kenmore from the back side of Marciano, that is my favorite place to sit.
Also like, unlimited ice cream? Yes please!!
To sum up though the enviornment is pretty upscale, food is yummy and consistent, and the bakery is amazing.

The lunch service is a hit or miss- and in general, the burgers are overcooked and the entrees are under seasoned and bland. Dinner is normally terrible. It's still better than most dining halls though.
Some of the staff are genial, polite, and nice. Many members are apathetic, but that is normal with most food service jobs. I do have to say that the plates and cups are not...
Read moreThis is a literal garbage dining hall. The staff has egos bigger than donald trump and they don't know how to clean the cups at all. Asking for anything outside the normal "everything" that students usually ask for is meant with at least an eye roll and look of disdain. I can't even ask for fresh eggs without fearing for my life. They have no respect for cultural foods and believe putting pickled cabbage on a dish makes it "korean". The ice cream is alright most of the time...
