Hana Sushi is a gem of a neighborhood spot in Bothell that always delivers a solid sushi experience. It’s cozy, welcoming, and has the kind of vibe where you can tell they’ve got a loyal following of regulars - and for good reason.

We made a same-day reservation for dinner, which I highly recommend since it gets pretty busy in the evenings. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout. If you sit at the sushi bar, you can have a fun view of the chefs in action.

We ordered three rolls - the TNT, Main Street, and Paradise. The TNT was the standout for me because of the flavor and right amount of spice. We’re big fans of salmon nigiri, so we also got six orders (yep, 12 pieces total); it was fresh, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Prices for full rolls are right around average for the greater Seattle area.

If sushi isn’t your thing, they also offer a good selection of appetizers and other dishes. Whether you’re popping in for a casual dinner or date night, Hana Sushi is a dependable, tasty option in Bothell that’s worth...

Post-Covid, no more circular conveyor belt sushi here. Everything is made to order but it's delivered to your table using a linear conveyor belt directly to your table.

Ironically, now that the sushi is made to order, it seems like their sushi's quality has changed - for the worse. Let me explain. Sushi rice (and NOT the fish) should be served somewhere between room temperature and body temperature, every sushi connoisseur knows this. Since Hana no longer prepares sushi for their since-abandoned conveyor belt, the rice doesn't have time to acclimate to ambient temperature before someone consumes it. And now, their sushi rice comes directly out of a Sub Zero refrigerator, stored way too cold, affecting the Sushi experience.

I've told the servers this several times but nothing is done. I work down the street from this place and had planned on eating here for lunch maybe once a week but those plans have changed since they won't listen to their...

To start: this place has fantastic sushi; they could ramp up the service though. I ordered takeout for a spicy sushi combo and asked if I could pick the Nigiri. The lady said “chef’s choice.” I asked what comes with “chef’s choice” and the lady said “things like salmon, tuna…;” I asked if they could just do salmon and tuna and they said no. I asked if I could pay $2-3 more and just get salmon and tuna, and they said no. Looks like I was stuck with the “chef’s choice.” They said the food will be ready in 40 minutes. I show up in 40 minutes and they quickly take my money and then the wait began. The sushi chefs put out sushi like a powerhouse for the people at the restaurant who likely ordered after me. I sat; and sat. 30 minutes later I got my sushi. It was sushi I would say is worth the wait, however. Objectively better than Sushi Zone. The miso soup was a nice touch too. This might be a 5-star if you dine in,...

Delicious sushi rolls and very friendly service. The rolls were all great with fresh seafood. Agedashi tofu, soft-shell crab tempura, Bothell roll, Main Street roll, Spicy Salmon roll. All delicious. The Main Street and Bothell rolls are made much thicker than normal, and only cut into 4 pieces. Kind of difficult if you try to eat in one bite, but worth it. The Spicy Salmon roll was cut into 6 pieces. Clean environment. They can split the checks. Always good practice to let them know beforehand, but they were accommodating to last minute splits. They do have high chairs.

We’ve come here almost once a quarter for the last five years. We love that it is a local and authentic sushi restaurant. The restaurant has been around for couple of decades and the owner is still making food behind the counter. We love the rolls, but nigiri is where it’s at. I typically order the chirashi bowl with fresh cuts of the day and my hubby usually orders a couple of rolls but mainly nigiri pieces. We’ve gotten the omakse in the past, but because it’s a smaller restaurant with only two chefs, they were very slow to come out.
