I stopped here for some quick food around 8:45 PM on a Monday night. I never used to have issues at this location, but my most recent experience was very concerning. The lady working the drive-thru (with glasses, lip piercings, and tattoos) was laughing the entire time I tried to order.
When she opened the window, she didn’t say anything — she just handed me my drink without telling me the total. Then she stood there silently, staring at me, with the window open. After I gave her my card, she stood at the POS computer but never swiped it. Instead, I watched her slowly start to walk toward the back with my card still in her hand, as if she was going to head into the kitchen without charging it.
I honked my horn to get her attention. At first, she wasn’t going to walk back to the register — she was about to keep going into the back with my card. It wasn’t until I pointed directly at my card in her hand that she finally stopped. I threw my hands up and said, “What are you doing? I haven’t even seen you charge my card yet, and now you’re just walking around with it.” She eventually swiped my card once and said it was declined. I told her, “Try again — instead of walking to the kitchen with my card, try actually swiping it.” Only then did she process it correctly, and it went through.
To make matters worse, there were at least two other employees working — another cashier and the cook/chef who was preparing and bagging food. So it’s not like she was overwhelmed or covering multiple positions. This left me feeling very uncomfortable and made me question her intentions with my card. I also realized I may have had a similar issue with this same employee in the past.
Because of this, I will not be returning or recommending this location to friends or family until this...
Read moreUsed to be a reliable drive through for great Mexican food open pretty late for Boulder City. I've always been impressed with this place until very recently. I got a burrito with ground beef California style - with some fries rolled in - as I often do and the burrito was awful. They used old heat lamp fries they should have tossed and mixed in about a half cup of ground beef - cheaper cause it was mostly potatoes - and even then it was about 40% smaller and lighter than what we've regularly and consistently received. My twin 9 year olds really love the churros, normally you get two when you order them, apparently that's changed as well you only get one now.. Also echoing a recent review the restaurant quoted me 23 as a total for two of their cheapest burritos plus 5 bucks worth of churros, they then handed me a receipt for 30 bucks and change. We tipped after that because we've worked for tips.. Something has changed recently at this establishment and it's unfortunate. This family of 5 who usually drops 50-75 bucks a pop at this place will not be returning. This occurred 4-9-25 at 830pm in case anyone at the...
Read moreFirst off the food is fantastic, regardless of what you order. The folks are friendly, the food preparation is fast and the overall service is better than one would expect for a "Taco Joint" Second, these are honest, hard working folks. I recently went in to make an order while on a trip south. After ordering, I used the facilities (which were clean, well maintained and well stocked) and left my phone/wallet in the restroom. After picking up my food and drinking for 2 hours we stoped for fuel and I realized my wallet/phone was missing. After the initial panic, I realized where it was left and gave them a call. They had found my wallet and held onto it for me until I could get it picked up, completely intact and unmolested. It is just a comfort to know folks like this still exist in the world. They represent themselves and the business community of Boulder City as well as anybody could, PLUS their menu and food are outstanding. Thank you to Chris and all the folks at...
