There are 2 choices for hardware stores in Boulder City. The differences are night and day. Home Hardware/ True Value has a great selection of items. Plenty of stock on hand. Friendly, knowledgeable employees. Plus they are Veteran friendly with a 10 percent discount and no hassles about it. The other place has limited selection. Usually just stocking 1 of each item. The employees aren't always the nicest, and asking for a veterans discount is usually seen as a burden to them. They told me I couldn't use my discount on an item I was purchasing with my Ace rewards coupon. I Only can use one or the other. This place is awesome, as are all who work here. You could call it a mom and pop store, but it isn't. What you can't expect is a Lowes or Home Depot. This is Boulder City, and those who know and work here be it construction, landscaping, or handyman. High prices, limited selection, and poor customer service. We were told to go out back to pick up an overpriced sheet of drywall. No one came to meet us. We had to walk back to the store to find somebody to help us. The store was not busy at the time, so I don't know why no one came to help us. They didn't have another item that I needed and didn't help me look. They just sent me to an aisle to fend for myself.
