I've been hearing about the all-famous Cosmo's from my daughter for the past 2 years while she's been attending CU Boulder, and on 1 Aug 2025, I finally got to try it for dinner. Living in Las Vegas (LV), which happens to be one of the biggest foodie capitals of the world, I'm always skeptical of pizza restaurants at other locations because I've had my fair share of outstanding pizzas in LV. Not to mention, I'm not a huge pizza fan in the first place so I don't normally pick pizza as my first choice for a dinner meal - but, it's good once in a while and especially when your daughter recommends it. With that said, when I walked in the restaurant, I was in awe with the pizza slices on display...they were giant! That immediately got my attention because I love value; however, at that point, I was curious if the quality matches the overall value.
My daughter and I were starving so we ended up ordering two mushroom pizzas, bacon-jalapeno-cream cheese pizza (also known as the bacon popper pizza or just popper pizza according to one of the employees working that evening), and the supreme pizza. Hands-down, these pizzas were astonishing! What's even more impressive is the fact that after I ate my two slices, I wasn't extremely full like I get at traditional pizza restaurants. This was a good thing, yet can be dangerous for me because if I lived around here, I'd probably order three or maybe even four slices per sitting. Let's just say that I'm glad I don't live in Boulder because of this. I also noticed from their online menu that they had a specialty pizza called, "The Maverick," which has the same ingredients as the Popper but with Pepperoni added to it. I'll have to try this pizza during my next visit because unfortunately, I didn't see this pizza until after I left. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we tried their Tiramisu as well - it was decent...definitely wasn't something to brag about, but then again, this is a pizza restaurant; not an Italian dessert shop.
The service was remarkable that evening - the gentleman who took our order was courteous, prompt, and friendly...I mean that's always the biggest thing people can ask for in a cashier when trying new fast food/fast casual restaurants. The restaurant itself could've used some freshening up with respect to cleanliness, organization, and décor. Also, I'd recommend using a bigger plate (or whatever product) to place the pizza slice on because although seeing a monstrous pizza sitting on top of a paper plate may seem appealing to some, it may also have some folks cringing because some of the pizza touches the bare (potentially unsanitary) surface.
Overall, I loved my experience here as depicted in my 5-star rating. The price-to-quantity/quality is superb and I especially respect this business for their support to the men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! I am definitely going to be a repeat customer during my next visit and I highly recommend this restaurant to all locals...
Read moreWorking a late night shift rarely gives me the opportunity to find an open restaurant in the Boulder area. Ahhhh...you may think or opine, why not just bring dinner with you? Well, because eating what I have to cook myself isn't an option. My cooking rarely if ever looks like the finished product on a cooking video. It looks like something, I'm not sure just what. So faced with this dilemma, I happened to see Cosmos Pizza open the other night, so I thought I'd give them a try. And I can tell you I wasn't disappointed. They sell pizza by the slice or you can order whole pies. I opted for a couple of slices (their everything on it, and cheese and mushroom), which were huge and very flavorful. I have never been taken by thin crust pizza, but Cosmo's changed my mind. This pizza was delicious and served piping hot, and as a bonus, the young lady who took my order asked if I would like some spicy ranch dipping sauce for my crust. It's a speciality of Cosmo's own making, and it added a bit of epicurean panache to an already hearty meal. I don't know if they offer stuffed crust pizza as an option, but I do know of one individual who walked out of Cosmo's stuffed and very satisfied. The crew behind the counter was very friendly and helpful in giving me the rundown on their selections, and offering their own suggestions as to what they liked, which helped me make up my mind. So if you are in the need for a late night alternative to typical fast food hamburger fare, Cosmo's in Williams Square on 30th and Baseline in Boulder should be the first place you should consider. They do pizza right....
Read moreI am so so grateful to Kevin, Adam and the entire team at Cosmo's pizza. I had my wedding ceremony and reception recently at Flagstaff Sunrise Amphitheater. I was so stressed out trying to figure out how to get a caterer up there and keep all the food hot without any electricity. My husband suggested that we get Cosmo's pizza since we are both huge fans (which is saying something because I really am not much of a pizza person). When I sent an inquiry to Cosmo's to see if they can make this happen Kevin and Adam both reached out to me to ensure me that it can be done and they made it as stress free as possible. Adam agreed to speak with me over the phone to hash out the details and was SO ACCOMMODATING (I blabbed his ear off for a good 30 minutes). They hit a ten minute window that I needed the pizzas in, they provided plates, silverware, napkins, cheese and peppers. It was so flawless and perfect! So many people told me that it was a crazy idea to order pizza for my wedding ("what if they arrive late?? It's a Saturday in Boulder! This will never work!") but it worked so well! My guests LOVED it! THANK YOU THANK...
