I’ve now tried this place three separate times, hoping each visit would be better than the last. Unfortunately, the quality and consistency just aren’t there.
The first time I came, it took about 50 minutes to get our food after being seated, but the biscuits and gravy were excellent. The biscuit was soft and fresh, and everything tasted great. That first experience actually had me excited to come back.
The next two times were disappointing. Both visits took 40 minutes to an hour for the food to arrive, and both times the biscuits were stale and the food tasted like it had been sitting out or reheated. It completely lacked the freshness and flavor I remembered.
I gave them another chance thinking the second time might have just been a fluke, but the third visit confirmed it wasn’t. We waited nearly an hour, took one bite of our food, and asked for the check.
If you’re planning to visit, you might have better luck going early in the morning when the food is fresh. Otherwise, expect a long wait and a meal that feels like a microwave reheat. For the price, there are plenty of other great brunch spots in Boulder that deliver a much...
Read moreWe arrived at 1:00pm and chose this place because of the dog patio. The waiter came to us fairly quickly and gave our dogs a treat. Then we ordered our drinks and the waiter stood and chatted for about 15+ minutes. He said the large mimosa $7:50 was a better value than the 0.99 special as the special was “tiny”. When it arrived it was only twice the size as the small one. We saw people arrive 10 and 15 minutes after us. They both received their food and finished it and got their check and left before our food was even delivered. The burgers we ordered were meant to be medium rare but came out well done. This was an hour after we had been seated. We didn’t bother sending them back as it had already been so long and we couldn’t wait any longer. The people at the next table who arrived 30 minutes after us had their food before us. This was our second time trying this diner as we had bad service the first time but decided to give it one more chance. We...
Read moreWe came for lunch and found out they were still serving breakfast at 1:15 pm. Apparently they serve breakfast all day! There were 5 of us. The wait time was brief. It took a bit to get a server to our table, however, you can tell they are short staffed (most restaurants are currently). The buffalo chicken wrap was large. My husband likely could have eaten the entire thing but my teen ate half and ate the rest later. Our son loved the biscuits and gravy. The crepes were delish! Our 11 year old could only eat two and then we all kind of ate the rest. They were filled with both types of jam (half of one kind, half of the other kind). It was SO darn good! The ranchero was also fantastic. We felt they had large portions for the price so we did end up taking some to go. We aren't from the area but picked this place from reviews. It did not disappoint! Wait staff was happy and knew the menu well. The place was clean as were...
