2/7/24 Edit: Unfortunately I didn’t take my own advice and came back here after being treated rudely several months ago. I placed a take-out order over the phone and every question or request I had was replied to with rudeness and a flippant tone. I’m wondering why every employee I talk to here has no idea how to speak to customers.
I had a disappointing experience here this week. I wanted to pick up a sandwich, and realized it was a few minutes away from their closing time. So I called and said that I knew they were about to close, and asked whether it be alright to order a sandwich. They said yes and that I should come inside to pick it up. I was already in the parking lot. I am currently very pregnant and was clearly struggling with that plus holding a toddler when I came in the store. Additionally I asked for a peanut butter and jelly on a bagel for my toddler. The employee acted as though they had never heard of a pb & j, despite it being listed on the menu. Instead of appreciating my business, as I was leaving an employee gave me a "friendly reminder" to come in earlier next time. This was annoying and insulting, as I had acknowledged it was closing time when I called and asked if it was alright to order something. They could have easily said no instead of letting me order and then shaming me, a 9-months-pregnant woman with a toddler, for coming in close to closing time. The cashier this morning at 8:10am. Who wears a mask, shorter dark hair, grey shirt I believe - and I literally cannot tell if it’s a man or woman - they’re RUDE. This is my second time interacting with this person and they’re nothing but rude. I was literally unsure about what bagel was in the picture I pointed to and they said “farmhouse.” Stern and without following it up to explain to me what’s in it or literally ANY kind of general customer service. I asked for a cinnamon raisin bagel and the gentleman that was working on bagels went to check if there were more. Because the case in the front was out. I wasn’t sure what the outcome was CUZ IT WASNT COMMUNICATED BY THE CASHIER. I ordered a blueberry and waited to hear about the cinnamon . All the cashier kept saying was “sliced or toasted?” And I wasn’t sure about the bagels being in stock yet or not. So I asked if they had cinnamon raisin or not after ordering the blueberry and the cashier said “yep. SLICED OR TOASTED” raising their voice and annoyed. And for what??? Cuz I ordered a couple bagels and you hate your job? Probably hate your life? Jesus Christ.
Stop hiring teenagers. Give that black queen a raise and the guy making the bagels this morning too! I’d LOVE to not have to see that rude a** cashier ever again. get some real customer service around that place....
Read moreWith working in a Customer Service industry whom has a high volume of customers and a constantly changing amount of staff, the service I encountered today was just plainly poor and terrible.
The man behind the counter with glasses and a mustache treated us with a very poor attitude, a snobby tone, and just poor customer service skills. In addition when it came to getting our order he just threw our order down, I get being short staffed and having customers constantly in and out of the door but come on seriously, leave the feelings and attitude at the back and not infront for everyone you help to see.
Furthermore, the quality of the food was poor. We got 3 bagels that were supposed to come out hot ended up not even reaching the level of lukewarm. The quality of the ingredients on them were either old ingredients or just low quality. Plus we received an order that was completely wrong then what was ordered and felt that we would receive backlash if we tried to get the correct order. For the price we paid we deserve to get the correct order.
