My partner and i tried Rakkan for the first time tonight. What a shame. These other reviews stating how bad the service is, they were right. To go into detail about our visit, we were cravi g ramen and noticed Rakkan was open until 10pm. Being a service industry worker myself, we decided to be very quick. Upon arriving the store was completely empty and when we walked in, none of the staff greeted us. The girl we had as our server was particularly cold and we definitely felt like an inconvenience. We got sat around 9:15pm, ordered by 9:16, and received our food by 9:23. The speed to which they got us the food was impressive and got the extra star. The food itself was relatively bland and unsatisfactory as it didnt really fill us up. Another gentleman delivered the check to our table at 9:30, telling us they close in 10 minutes. We had barely gotten through much of our food and were already being ushered out. This was particularly apalling. 30 minutes before they stated they were closed, they essentially told us to get out. Throughout our entire meal we were getting exasperation and glares from the staff. What an unpleasant way to eat a meal.I get better service at a McDonalds. Every time they came to our table, we were met with agitation, annoyance and none-limited communication. As we left at 9:35, we said our thanks, and in return got radio silence. What a shame, we wont be back and recommend you dont even consider this place.

Absolutely amazing experience. Everyone there was polite and very attentive. As soon as I walked in the door I was approached and helped to a seat. I ordered pork buns as an appetizer and I was a little surprised and impressed by the presentation. It was an open face concept steamed bun, topped with 2 slices of pork and spring mix lettuce drizzled with an umami glaze and sprinkled with sesame seeds. For my Entre I saw they had a combo for any bowl of Ramen and one side for $21.95. I decided to go with Miso Ramen and Spicy Beef Gyoza. Everything showed up promptly after I ordered, several minutes at most. The Gyoza were nice and fresh, still steaming hot from the deep fryer, I enjoyed the seasoning and the spiciness wasn't overpowering. The Miso Ramen was great the broth had good flavor, although I felt it could have been a bit stronger. The pork was nice and tender and the egg cook perfectly. It was a decent sized bowl as well. All in all i spent under $50 for just myself including tip, however I have a large appetite and most wouldn't order an appetizer and combo meal for themselves.

HONEST REVIEW FROM SOMEONE WHO WORKED HERE: I was treated very very poorly by this place. I did not take how unprofessionally and unfairly treated I was further but I have reflected upon this and want to share my honest experience as someone who worked for this place and saw it for what it was. I would NOT support this restaurant EVER AGAIN for a number of reasons. First of all, as the only woman working in the restaurant at the time, I noticed how differently I was treated. It was apparent, and I felt very uncomfortable knowing they would talk about me in Chinese so I could not understand. A little insight from a staff point of view: I was directed to hand the check to the customer as soon as the clock on their table hit 12-15 minutes. Doesn't matter how much they've eaten, the amount of food left in their bowls... If there's a dozen empty tables in the restaurant or if you have a completely full bowl of ramen! No matter what, that's when you put it down and you will get told off for leaving it a minute later. This is all just so that the whole turn-around of getting you, the customer, in and out is as fast as possible. They do not care about anything more than that. The owner, "Wu," also treated me differently to the male waiter I worked with. He was much harsher and unfriendly to me. As if I were a dog, he would very rudely belittle me and just point me in directions or point at things but never did that to the boy. I received several compliments and good tips from customers who commended me for my service, but after working here just two weeks, a boy was hired full-time without telling me and, with no communication or explanation, "Wu" never sent me a shift schedule again. I asked repeatedly why I was not sent any shifts or scheduled in, and he did not reply at all. Completely ghosted me. Unbelievably unprofessional. Very unkind, clearly they only care about the speed of serving you, getting you in, and getting you out. I would advise you go...

I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. I was shocked and disappointed by the level of service I received, right from the moment we entered the establishment. My party and I arrived just two minutes before the restaurant's official opening time, excited to try out the menu. However, instead of a warm welcome, we were met with a rude and offensive encounter with the waiter.

As we stepped through the door, I overheard the waiter muttering a profanity under his breath. It was disheartening to be greeted with such an inappropriate response when we had done nothing but arrive a mere two minutes early. Regardless of the situation, there is absolutely no justification for a staff member using offensive language within earshot of customers.

The waiter's unfriendly attitude persisted throughout the meal. He seemed disinterested in assisting us and barely offered any explanation about the menu items. It felt like he was doing us a favor by taking our orders. It's important to note that dining out is not just about the food; the overall experience plays a significant role, and the behavior of the staff can greatly influence that experience.

I believe that the success of any restaurant hinges on the professionalism and courtesy of its staff. Unfortunately, in this case, the waiter's behavior overshadowed any positive aspects of the meal. It's disappointing to write a negative review, as I believe in giving businesses a fair chance, but the treatment we received was truly unacceptable.

I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and considers reevaluating their staff training and customer service protocols. It's crucial for them to understand that customers are investing not just in the food, but in the entire dining experience. I sincerely hope that future patrons will not have to endure the same level of disrespect that my party and I encountered...
