We do not dress "the part" to be served... apparently. My very tall child and I tried three times to be served before the boulderittes behind us but it was obvious. The gal serving KNEW we had been in line prior to ANY of the three that were served before us.
Now on to the price that created the elitism and attitude of servers....dude I've made homemade ice cream. I've opened, ran and retrained restaurants my whole life. I ordered the micro for $3.50 a piece thinking they were a child size. They were a CHILD HEARTBREAK. OMG!!! What a 3oz condiment cup??? Seriously bro. You could at LEAST offer kids a free topping to feel not SO cheated! I offered to buy my 8 year old kid a second larger size her response "Mom do not buy one. They will just rip you off again. Let's just go home and make ice cream for ourselves."
You're price point may be on point for the area but kids are everywhere (even in Boulder) All they wanted was an ice cream shoppe experience...Left feeling robbed and my eight year old talking about inflation and what criminals the cream shoppe were. Was supposed to be fun. She really felt she was robbed of her full cup lol...
Is it really hard to offer a child size? (a three ounce condiment cup is not a serving) At a price even a kid can afford? I know I know... Then the adults will take advantage but then you put your foot down and say ITS FOR THE KIDS!
Outta her $20 weekly allowance she paid almost $8 dollars for 2 servings of an ounce of ice cream...she's very very disappointed...it was not the price, it was not the small scoop. It was the attitude it takes to look PAST a kid you know is there and continue to serve over her. It's the attitude that gives the lady ahead a great big micro scoop n barley half to her
It's the attitude.
Maybe open an ice cream cart lol but not leaving...ICE CREAM FOR ALL! LOL LOL LOL.
Follow up to your comment on my review... review was made on behalf of my childs experience. I didn't stand in line as she is tall enough to be seen and wanted to "do it" on her own. I stood behind her. She chooses to wear clothes that absolutely do not match n I guarantee by the end of the day when we had ice cream she was dirty as a kid can get not to mention she will let her hair fly in the wind all day.
I let her get served over twice before I spoke up She was speaking up and making body language to indicate she was next to be served. She was neither heard nor seen even though we had stood by and eyes the ice cream long before the second patron. No one even greeted us or let us know we knew they knew we were... The only reason she ordered a micro size was because she saw the lady ahead of her order that size and the scoop she received. Bring a child she wanted to keep as much of her money as possible ( I am sure you can relate) She knew her and her sisters scoop were half the size of the previous patron. I was so disgusted I wouldn't allow her to buy their own. Which they had been looking forward to but sad when they saw the scoop. You can call me all the names you want ;) that is your right. As is mine to relate my child's experience from OUR perspective ;) Rather than see a solution to maybe (maybe) a random event you choose to slander me... 🤔 🧐 All 👍 good. My kids know I will review good and "bad" experiences. My lil asked me to review ya. My friend a"bad" exp is an opportunity to...
Read moreWe went there today, 6/29 @ 11:45a.m., were willing to wait for the store to open, saw the young man enter the store to do opening duties ~11:50. The posted time for opening was 12:00. We waited until 12:30. We left because there was no indication about when they were going to open. We called the phone number listed and no one answered. At one point, there were 4 customers outside, and no reply to any knock, despite seeing someone inside. I understand that sometimes this happens, but this was the 2nd time it happened to us. Some things for the owner to consider: The hrs should be adjusted. If 12:30 is unrealistic, post more reasonable hrs; Consider getting more staff if short-staffed. If there are some unreliable staff, change them; 3. Provide customer service training so people waiting can be given some info and can decide if they want to stay, go elsewhere for ice cream, or return later. They can also be trained to answer the phone. We are big fans of Glacier. One late opening is forgivable; two may signify a problem. We hope they can do better.
7/2: update- thank you for the reply. It would be helpful if the staff who was there could post a sign that they were short that day and give an approximate time for opening. We would totally come back, and always tip the staff very well. We updated the review b/c of...
Read moreI used to go to their Baseline store All The Time, and this was the first time I went to the location on 28th; and I was really happy to see the full selection of excellent gelatos and their marvelous variety of ice creams.
There was the addition of a Glacier Cream selection, half a dozen frozen desserts that were lower sugar and higher protein! And they were actually quite good. I tried the chocolate peanut butter version and it had really nice flavors and the underlying flavor of a good protein bar. But for the other half of my cup, I got my seasonal favorite of the peach gelato and it was, as always, full of the ripe vivid flavors of Palisades peaches.
Good to see a local favorite still here, even after the pandemic, and they seem to be...
