Stopped here for dinner with the family.

First the positives: The restaurant is a decent size. The hummus/Pita appetizer serving was generous. Combo Platter was a decent size. Food tasted pretty good. Not AMAZING but not terrible either.

The negatives: While the restaurant is decorated nicely, attention to detail on cleaning and upkeep was missed - things like the table being sticky and smeared in places; dirty windows; sticky floor; fabric covering booth seats slipping and threads hanging off in areas and crumbs on them. Door to parking lot was propped open and there were flies.

My Combo Platter which had hummus and babaganoush came with no pita bread which was odd - do some people just eat it alone? Had to request Pita.

Pita was cold and seemed dry.

Service was lackluster. Server was slow and didn't seem friendly at all.

We had selected the restaurant after checking Yelp and when we checked in, a 10% off coupon popped up. When we showed it to the server, she stated it was not for them. I showed her that it was from their listing at the address we were at. She seemed annoyed and gruffly stated that she would ask someone about it but that they don't accept coupons and walked off. She returned and said they would not accept the coupon and stated it was probably for another restaurant with the same name. I pointed out to her again that it is specifically under THAT restaurant (pic uploaded in case anyone wants to see it) and she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. NOT impressed with how this was handled. Even if everything was wonderful, which it was not, I'd never dine here again or recommend this place to anyone just based on how the coupon situation was handled. Evidently this restaurant has enough business and can afford to alienate new customers.

This Elite Yelper gives Ali Baba 2 stars. The food alone would have merited 3 stars but I had to take a star away for the...

We were really excited to randomly stumble across a middle eastern restaurant on our little day trip to Boulder. Unfortunately, everything was really gross. I had to move off of the upholstered bench we sat at because it was drenched for some reason. The sunbusek was unrecognizable, resembling a half-filled cream cheese "crab" puff from a bad Chinese spot. The labneh was plain, unsalted, and unstrained Greek yogurt. I think someone picked up our pita bread with a wet dish hand because half of it was sopping. The "Turkish coffee" was the weakest I've had, brewed without sugar or cardamom, despite the menu promising otherwise. Plus, my coffee cup came with old food stuck to it (either couscous or bulgur wheat). The chicken was drenched in oil, which was truly unfortunate since the spices and flavor profile were incredible. But it was too greasy to finish. I have to admit that the rice was nice and buttery and well cooked. The bathrooms were sickening. Extremely dirty and run-down. They had tried to spackle the toilet seats with what looked like caulk that had grown pink mold. A replacement toilet seat is $15 at Home Depot, you guys. And maybe clean the sink, soap dispenser, and paper towel dispenser once in a blue moon? Just a thought. Overall, this place is the biggest let-down and honestly just gross. I feel bad for the young kid they had running the front of house. You could tell that he wanted to be anywhere but there. I love middle eastern food but we will not be...

Ordered for work and not only did they not send everything but it was quite possibly the most anemic gyro I've ever seen. Along with some of the dryest shrimp I've ever seen. Definitely won't be going back ever again. After calling them back to get the rest of our food the manager straight up argued with us about getting out order wrong.

The owner is trying to pass this off as another business but I am 100% sure this is the business and they are now denying that it's even their restaurant. This was in boulder and they arent even willing to own up to their mistakes.

The manager is now claiming that we are all lying because they personally didn't speak with us. This is the last time I will update this review and their inability to take accountability is astounding. Our receipt had the name Jeremy on it, not sure who we spoke with but when we mentioned that we were missing orders they suggested that they were in someone else's containers. They were not. This doesn't account for the poor food quality or poor service. We will never be returning and i would suggest spending your...

Ali Baba Grill was hit and miss. We had two lunch specials. They are served with either salad or lentil soup, and rice. We both tried the soup, which could've been good with a stand out flavor but was fairly flat in taste. The lentils were mashed? and in a broth. My soup didnt have a single spoonful of lentil, but my husband's had a little bit with each bite. He had the Kafta kabob, which looked appetizing, and was moist and flavorful. I had the Shawarma Chicken Meat which was dry flakes of meat. There was a good flavor base on the chicken, but I expected fresh larger slices of meat that weren't so dry that I had to take a drink with each bite. The rice had a dry seasoning sprinkled on it, and either it or the rice tasted old or cardboardish. The food was very attractive but most lacked in consistent quality (dry, flavor, some lentils vs no lentils). Ambiance is nice. Our server was very laid back and nice. We may try it again to see if another day or menu item may be better.
