TLDR: nearly inedible, poor quality, and does not even attempt to be authentic. Do not order from this place. Avoid. I ordered three entrees and two sides of naan. The first entree was a “chicken tandoori kebob”, but it was not recognizable in any way as a kebob or tandoori. There were no char marks or skewer holes to indicate it was ever roasted in a tandoor or even put on a skewer. It came in a styrofoam container that was tightly enclosed in plastic wrap to prevent leakage, and nonetheless the package leaked oil everywhere…but tandoori chicken is a dish that should not be oily in the slightest! The onions and peppers should be crispy, yet these were sodden as if they were cooked in a pot of soup. The chicken had none of the expected ruddy red hue that one expects from tandoori chicken, and had a flavor & texture much more similar to something stewed or steamed.
The second dish was saag paneer. The saag itself was at least mostly spinach, but there was no spice flavor at all, nor was it creamy. The flavor was watery and had no punch. The paneer was characterless and added nothing to the dish.
The third dish was “vegetable Ceylone”, which the menu describes as “similar to the vegetable korma but with the coconut curry Ceylone sauce.” While the veggies at least didn’t taste frozen, they were overcooked to the point of mush. The curry sauce tasted like something sold out of a supermarket. This was something I could have made by buying a jar at Trader Joes and tossing it over a pack of veg. What’s the point of spending $15+ on something you could easily make yourself at home (and doesn’t taste very good anyways)?
Both naan orders were bland but passable, although the garlic naan had no garlic flavor at all. Lastly, the rice was not at all fragrant and was, like many other things in this order, overcooked.
Overall, this restaurant is not worth anyone’s time or money. You will leave disappointed, irritable, and worse of...
Read moreWorst quality food and service. The staff here is highly incompetent and lacks the basic courtesy required to work in the hospitality industry—they treat customers with complete disregard.
It’s ironic to call this an “Indian restaurant” when, in India, guests are treated like gods, and hospitality is a core value. Sadly, this place fails to uphold even the most basic standards.
The food quality is appalling and seems like a test of your immune system. I consider myself to have a strong stomach, but even I ended up throwing up after having lunch here.
Beware! Don’t be misled by the overly positive (and likely fake) reviews on Google. This place is not worth your time or money.
*Adding here a Response to Owner: Fair point being in the market for 13 years, however seems like the standard is not maintained in that case.
Staff: Extremely unprofessional. They won’t explain their menu or what’s included in the thali. A simple smile doesn’t take much effort—what’s wrong with being courteous?
Atmosphere: Dirty tables and questionable silverware—no further comments needed.
Food: Undercooked and of really poor quality. I barely had 2-3 bites before feeling uncomfortable and ended up throwing up within 10 minutes. I deeply regret going to this place.
I politely shared my feedback with the staff and asked for a refund, but they outright refused without a second thought. Instead, they confidently said, “This is what we sell here. If you don’t like it, it’s not our fault.” Who treats customers like that? It’s beyond disappointing. I mentioned right there please don’t mind me adding my honest feedback...
Read moreFood is always great. Unfortunately, they are lacking in presentation at times. Seems blah when you look at the plate. Wish they would either give smaller plates if they are not filling the whole thali not enough room on a table. We ordered the goat Nihaari which believe me did not taste like nihaari at all. It was still good but had a sweet taste to it without meat just bones. We were told there were bones in it, but nihaari is always made with bones and meat! Not sure why they make it this way, not authentic at all and they serve rice with it??? Why? There should be an option between rice and naan when ordering a curry. You can buy naan on the side but you end up with so much plain rice when ordering for a full table of people. The biryani was good but the rice were kind of mushy and that's a big no no when making biryani. We also got beef curry and for some reason the beef was slimy???!!! And they had cut it into the tiniest pieces, so hardly any meat in a beef curry dish. Was very odd but had a good taste. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because everything does have a good taste, kids love it and the restaurant is nice. Staff is kind and willing to answer questions. We have been going here since it opened and have had different experiences each time but nothing that would stop us...
