This is not a typical rant. I am not sure if what happened was racially motivated but you be the judge. Let me preface this by saying that I'm a very qualified cook and would never tolerate this treatment of customers.
We stopped at this location and was seated by the most pleasant greeter. We then waited for a waitress that never appeared. Not one waitress acknowledged us but the slap in the face and ultimate insult was another couple walked in after us, white, and were seated behind us. The waitress appeared to take their order within 30 seconds of sitting down! I was floored! My wife and I, after the shock wore off, sat there for a few moments longer and still no body acknowledged us. We promptly got up, complained to the hostess and walked out. The other customers seemed equally as shocked when the waitress bypassed us to service the newly seated customers. I complained to corporate and was told that management would phone me but as of this posting...not one call, text or email! So, Bowling Green, Ohio off of 75 across from the university, you just lost a great customer! I wont lump all of your staff into this one racist(ish) episode because the hostess was awesome. My waitress? Never saw her until she serviced the couple that they seated behind us. Why we were overlooked and ignored? Was she super busy, unorganized, uncaring, in a bad mood, simply overlooked us or was this racially motivated? I am 6'9" so it was difficult to miss me. Between the waitress and the manager, the proverbial ball was definitely dropped. The manager never did speak with us.
*UPDATE Corporate finally phoned me. I had a very heartfelt conversation with a person in position to seriously look into what transpired at that location. What happened to my wife and I should never have happened. I was allowed to speak freely and corporate listened. Will it change what happened at that location? No? Will it happen again? I hope not. I got there the girl handed me the bag said everything was in it, I asked if there was dressing she said it should be in there, looked & wasn't then rudely threw some in. I paid & left. Got back to work & was missing a meal. I called on my way back & stated that it was missing & the same girl said she put it at the bottom of the bag. I said it wasn't there & was on my way back. She rudely (again) said we'll see when you get here & hung up on me .. upon checking my bag & not seeing the meal (like I had stated) her response was "I must have put it in the wrong bag". Then walked away. Treating it as of it were MY fault she messed up. The girl needs work on her attitude if dealing with the public, I did nothing wrong & was nice throughout the entire ordeal even though seething inside at the pure attitude I was getting from her. The manager came (while talking on her cellphone), did some things in the computer for my refund, said I owed $0.96.. I asked the rude girl why? I had already paid? Instead of answering me, she said to her manager "you explain this to her (me)" then walked off again... Supposedly due to how they credited me... Never have I been spoken to or treated in such a way at something that was of no fault of mine... I'll pass this along to the townies I know... Read morePlace was a mess and it wasn't even that busy! My husband and I each ordered a caramel mocha and water for a drink. Ordered our food right after receiving our drinks. Waited 45 minutes for our food to come out... Mine was wrong but my husband's was right. I ordered chicken tenders, ranch, fries and coleslaw... And it came with rolls. He brought out fries, coleslaw and hot honey butter chicken on biscuits 🤦🏼♀️ I told him I don't want that and want my chicken tenders. He took back the whole plate. Waited another 20 minutes for my food. The tenders aren't cooked thru and the fries are the same fries they brought out 20 minutes ago with the wrong order.. I can taste the honey on them and they are so soggy and cold. Didn't get ranch. Had to get our own silverware. Our waiter was handling customers food with bare hand after handling cash and never washed his hands. When we went to pay the lady seemed upset and didn't want to hear my complaints and said she took care of the bill and to have a good night and that they're working on their staff.
