We came for the new Korean BBQ experience in between lunch and dinner. For 4 people we went with the $80 4 meat set. They started bringing out the side dishes and the owner brought out the meats himself. He then started demonstrating the grilling methods and what sauces and sides went best with what meats. He served us and let us try new recipes so we could let him know what we thought. You could tell each side dish was crafted with love and care and no one item tasted the same. If you genuinely want a phenomenal and new experience I highly suggest coming here. You won't go away hungry and you can tell you are paying for a meal that is prepped with the idea of sharing culture in mind. The hosts were incredibly gracious and treated us like family coming over for dinner. If you were impressed by them before be prepared to be blown away. This isn't your watered down asian food experience that leaves you feeling greasy and sleepy after. You will go away full and refreshed. I genuinely hope this can stay in BG for a long time and more people are inspired to bring ethnic restaurants into town following this bold example. I am tired of chicken and chain restaurants when we can have spice and culture. I tend to run hot and with the setup they have i was never uncomfortable at any point and time. This is an absolute win in my book and I can't wait to return especially in the cold...

My daughter and I went in for lunch. Ate at a table that was sticky with maybe a drink that had spilled but we overlooked it hoping for a better experience before we left. We both ordered the chicken hibachi entree and we shared a good Friday sushi roll. The sushi came first and had little to no flavor at all. The salad with ginger dressing was delicious and the best part of the meal. The soup was so hot it took a while to cool off just to find it had very little taste either. We were still excited about the grill though. The rice burned and was charred throughout, the vegetables also burned and the chicken though it didn't look burnt the burnt taste was there. The noodles were all that was not burnt but neither of us like noodles so we were done. The meal cost $51 & some change. Never ever again...... never ever...... the elderly couple who run it was there and I chose to be kind and smile when I left because it wasn't their fault. Worst meal...

This place used to be our favorite spot. We were truly let down tonight. Our cook was amazing 10 out of 10. But the service and management really let me down tonight. Our favorite part is having saki bombs while we watch the show so I ordered 2, the server never came back to the table. We finally get his attention and I asked again may I get 2 saki bombs. He then comes back to the table and says we don't have saki bombs. I asked do u have saki? He said yes. I asked do you have beer? He said yes. I then I asked why can't you make a saki bomb and he stated the manager said we don't have them anymore. This was a huge disappointment to me as the saki bombs are a fun exciting part of the experience. As a paying customer not being able to get the service and experience you are there to pay for is a major let down. From now on I think I'll take my money across town where I can get what I ask for as a...

Tried Ramen with my sushi. Very disappointed in the lack of flavor of the Ramen, the hard boiled egg, and the fatty pork. Large sushi was the highlight. Updated review- they have added hot pot heaters in the tables, updated the menu, added Korean food, changed the sticky tables and chairs out, and raised prices. My food was good but a pricey lunch for sure. Updated review.. popped in for a sushi roll. Roll was tasty, but I'm just not used to the giant size of each piece. I was extremely full after eating that much rice. Take it or leave it, you decide. Have been going to Samurai for years and have seen the changes throughout. Sushi is pretty good and hibachi is as well. Prices have definitely gone up and specials on sushi have all but disappeared. Overall I do enjoy the place but needs some TLC as physical location is showing its age. Had dragon roll and sushi appetizer this trip and was ok.

I was in Kentucky visiting my best friend and she brought me here for dinner. I loved it! The -2 can dine- deal actually made the hibachi cheaper than most similar places for dinner. The sushi was phenomenal. I also loved how they give you a jug of Yum Yum instead of a little bowl and having to ask for more. So one things different here. You get rice AND noodles with your hibachi for dinner. Never had noodles come with my hibachi before. I personally didn't care for the noodles as they were too sweet for my liking. But nothing against the restaurant on this as that's a personal thought.

This restaurant is located in a strip plaza off Scottsville Road (in a rather unassuming location I might add). Let me start by saying the decor of this place is rather dated...(it could use actually use a good top to bottom cleaning), but it was clean and had no bad smells. They have ample seating--booths, tables and hibachi grills. The waitress we had was really nice and our chef Niko was GREAT!!! He cooked the food perfect!! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks...will definitely come back here again.
