Restaurant Review: A Memorable Dining Experience
During a recent visit to Baciami’s my wife and I had the pleasure of savoring a delightful array of dishes. We eagerly ordered the stuffed mushrooms, eggplant Parmesan, and the highly recommended short rib burger. To our amazement, the food came out extremely fast, which was a pleasant surprise.
Our waiter, Sal, truly made our dining experience exceptional. From the moment we were seated, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Sal's expertise in beverage pairings was evident as he skillfully recommended drinks that perfectly complemented our meal. Each sip was a delightful revelation, and we were thoroughly impressed.
Now, let's delve into the culinary highlights of our meal. The stuffed mushrooms were a mouthwatering combination of flavors. The rich and earthy mushrooms were generously filled with a savory mixture that left us wanting more. The eggplant Parmesan was a true delight for vegetarians and carnivores alike. The eggplant was perfectly breaded and fried, then layered with a luscious tomato sauce and melted cheese. The result was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that left us utterly satisfied.
And then there was the star of the show, the short rib burger. This masterpiece of a burger featured succulent, slow-cooked short rib meat, perfectly seasoned and piled high on a toasted bun. Each bite was an explosion of juiciness and robust flavor. It was evident that the restaurant takes pride in sourcing quality ingredients, as the meat was tender and full of flavor.
What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the atmosphere. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The decor was tastefully done, creating a cozy and intimate setting. The lighting was just right, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. Combined with the friendly and attentive service, the atmosphere made us feel like valued guests.
In conclusion, our dining experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were treated to a culinary journey that left a lasting impression. The stuffed mushrooms, eggplant Parmesan, and short rib burger were all expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Sal, our waiter, deserves special recognition for his impeccable service and drink recommendations. If you're looking for a restaurant that combines outstanding food with exceptional service and a delightful atmosphere, this is the...
Read moreDined at Baciami on 11/23/20 for the first time. Had drinks in their lounge prior to our dinner, our server was Joey. We had a 7pm reservation for 6 people and were seated promptly. There were 3 tables of 2, 1 table of 3, and our table of 6 for the evening. Joey was also our server in the dining room. There was also one other server working the other tables. For a not so busy night, everything seemed to take forever to get to the table. Weather it was drinks or asking for bread it would take at least 15 minutes. on more than one occasion I would have to get up from the table to get a clean dish or evoo that was on the cart because we couldn't get anyone's attention. I personally liked Joey but he seemed to be overwhelmed at times even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When the dinner odered was placed, Joey came back 20 minutes later to say there was only enough scallops for one person. So one person in our party had to order something different. When the food finally arrived I had the scallop dish. You were supposed to get 4 jumbo scallops. I got 2 jumbo and the third was sliced in half. Also the risotto was not creamy at all, just white rice with a little sauce mixed in. When Joey came back to the table I showed him. He said he felt embarrassed and offered to get me another dinner. We were close to 2 hours already and didn't want to wait longer. Joey did come back with a couple of shrimp to add to the dinner. One person in are party ordered the prime steak. While the steak was good the creamed spinach that was ordered was anything but creamed. It was soupy. Our party had drinks, appetizers, dinners, after dinner drinks and coffee. When our check came there was a $15 service charge added to the bill which was $473 not counting the drinks we had in the lounge. When we asked Joey what the charge was for, he would have to get the manager to explain. When the manager came over he said it was a covid charge instead of raising the prices on the menu. Nothing stated on the menu and no one mentioned that there would be a charge. When I asked the manager to waive the charge based on our night he said no. The whole night was a disappointing experience. The food was lackluster. The manager didn't do the right thing and lost 6 customers who paid good money for a terrible night. We didn't take our disappointment out on Joey who was tipped appropriately. He tried his best and shouldn't suffer because of the kitchen and management. Left at 10pm, 3 hours way to long to be disappointed. I can't...
Read moreI don't write many reviews, but was compelled to with this experience. I took my parents and my family to Baciami for Father's Day. I had never been to the restaurant, but had been to their sister restaurants, Prime and Ilbacio in Delray. I remembered ordering the braciole at Prime in Delray, and it was fantastic. When we walked in, the ambiance was very good and we were greeted nicely. My parents arrived first and ordered a drink at the bar. I ordered a club soda, bartender poured it from the gun, no charge. We sat at our table, visited for awhile and put in an antipasto order. When it came, it was large, several cured meats and good cheeses, very nice salad for the table. I ordered another club soda, and this time the waiter brought over a small bottle of club soda and charged me $4 a bottle. When we ordered our food, both my father and I ordered the Sunday gravy. It comes with braciole, meatballs and sausage. I ordered mine with an extra piece of braciole in place of the sausage, and told the waiter that I would be more than happy to pay extra for it. 10 minutes later, the waiter came back to explain that they only had one piece of braciole left (our reservations were 6:30), and I wanted my father to have that so I ordered the veal instead. We ended up splitting the braciole when dinner was served, and it was very dry. My mother's order didn't arrive until 15 minutes after all of the other meals showed up. Apparently, the waiter forgot to enter it in with the rest of our orders. I was very disappointed that they were out of food items this early in the evening, the food order was not timed properly, and the food wasn't really all that good. The marinara sauce was extremely sweet, way too much sugar for our liking. My wife ordered the sea scallops, and they barely had a crust on the searing. I think the cook rushed it and didn't have his fry pan hot enough. My kids had a pizza, and although I did not try any it did look very good (brick oven pizza). I was a little disappointed that the gratuity was automatically added to our check (4 adults and 3 kids), because I would not have tipped 20%. In addition to forgetting to put in our entire order, it took forever to get a drink and the restaurant was not full. I give this 2 stars because the place was nice, the salad was very good but everything else was very disappointing. I do not believe this place is worth the money, and I will...
