The first time we went, it was before the big breakfast rush, probably 8:30ish. The food was good and the service wasn't bad.
The second time we went, we weren't so lucky. It was a little after 10:00. We waited for a table for 15 minutes and the whole ordeal with people packed in the lobby while someone was seating or doing whatever else was a disorganized experience.
We got our table, our drinks, and ordered our food. The waitress was awful. I watched her walking around doing little chores all over the place instead of tending to her tables or asking if I wanted a refill. Our food took a good half hour, and I can't be sure if it's because the kitchen was so slow or if it's because our waitress was ignoring her tables. The food wasn't nearly as good as the first visit--I guess when you're so busy you put in a lot less effort making plates.I finally was able to ask for a refill when our food came but she never brought it (surprise!). After waiting another 10 or 15 minutes after we were done eating she dropped off our check. Over $2.00 for an 8-ounce glass of diet coke packed with ice? Even a second one wouldn't have been worth that, but geez it would've made me less bitter for paying for it. Next time it'll be water. And the waitress will get less than 15% tip, that's for sure (hubby was too nice and gave her that much). Checking out was a whole another ordeal. ONE cash register, really? ONE cashier who also doubles a hostess while everyone else is running around like chickens? What's wrong with that place?
IF we go back, it certainly won't be during a busy breakfast.
Update: We've been back twice, once at dinner and once at lunch. Dinner was nearly empty and service was STILL terrible. Lunch was busy again and our waitress was incompetent.
We probably won't be back. Maybe...
Read moreWe ordered a Willy Wonka pancake combo and the server did not ring it up as such, and when we asked about it he said “that’s just what it is” , and that the chef told him to charge each item separately instead as a combo, saying there was no combo option in the system, even though it was advertised on the menu (this ended up more expensive than the listed combo price.) The server then forgot the hash browns with the combo. When asked he admitted he forgot it and then said he didn’t reorder it. We had to ask him again for the hash browns after we received all our meals. The only reason we came was for their happy hour prices. Server did not express that if we ordered during happy hour, we were not guaranteed the happy hour price. We ordered a two $6 meals along with the pancake combo. We were sat down just past 7 and asked for our checks prior to 8. Between asking for the checks and receiving them, he was helping other customers, which was to be expected. When the server rang up our orders and brought the checks, it was 8:07, and we were charged the full price (not happy hour.) When we asked about this, we got a “that’s just how it is.” Between three of us, we spent $60 for what we thought would be a $30-40 meal. Very disappointed and would not have come if I had known that we wouldn’t get the happy hour offer, considering we ordered and were finished before 8pm. The pancakes were...
Read moreHad worst experience since I’m in USA eating out. I go eat out a lot since we love to travel to Montana but I know for sure I’ll never go back to IHOP from Bozeman, MT. The server was rude and racist, acting like he was making us a favour serving us. I understand we both me and my husband have an accent but he could be much polite. Beside that our drink never been refilled, extra toast we ordered never beserved to us and we been charged thefor( but whe I talked to the manager on duty he refunded us for) and also I had to remind the server that we ordered crepes and finally he brought them to us. When asked for the check server came to us opened the book instead to leave on the table and was waiting for the card, I never seen such a rude attitude. So we paid and left so mad not leaving a tip and when I sit in my car the server showed us the middle finger! I think this already says a lot. No education at manners at all! We won’t back inside and spoke with the manager on duty which he didn’t seem to care to much and told me nicely to walk out. So again I went back I took refund for the toast that served never brought to us and left, and manager on duty when see me again said YOU GUYS BETTER HAVE TO LEAVE. I’m shocked and I hope the general manager will watch the camera and fire both of those individuals, can’t even call...
