We were greeted promptly and offered to follow the hostess as she just took off and I had my boyfriend ask if he could catch her to see if we could sit in a booth in the bar because I am disabled and have a cane currently due to a recent accident. So she did, whew! The first waiter was very excellent but had to leave right after he served our food and we never saw his replacement until I had to flag her down for some to go boxes. To be honest, the ONLY reason I wanted to go there was because of the CURRENT commercials on TV advertising the stuffed chicken Marsala for $12.99, oh they had it, but charged me $21.99. It looked like it was a $12.99 dish at best and came out with cold mashed potatoes and the rest of the meal was room temperature. I was very disappointed. If I go to a restaurant, I expect it to be hot. But if I saw a waiter to say something to, I would have. The chicken gnocchi soup didn’t taste right, the broth, the gnocchi was good. The bread sticks were hard on the ends and didn’t taste fresh at all, the first or second time we got a batch of 3. The salad was good and my boyfriend liked the fried chicken on his fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli, but chicken was the only thing hot on his meal. I think our meals just sat until his fried chicken was done. Then to top everything off, I only ate about 3 to 4 bites of my chicken (because it tasted that bad) and violently threw it up that night. It was the worst eating experience at an Olive Garden ever. We had been traveling since 5:30 AM and I didn’t feel like trying to go find a manager and wait for another meal knowing we had to get up and leave the next morning to continue on with our travels. I still left a nice tip even though I didn’t want to. I just didn’t want the first waiter who was great to be slighted. I would have contacted the restaurant but when I paid at the table, my receipt didn’t print and the waitress that took over said it would take a few minutes to get it. I was over it. I am adding photos to show the “$21.99...
Read moreWhere do I start, my family and I came in on June 25th and had dinner, I paid with card and my dad wanted to cover the tip since I bought dinner, so he left a cash tip with our server McKendra $30 to be exact which was 20% and handed it to her directly. I put a line on the receipt through the tip amount since my dad was taking care of it. A couple days go by and I see an additional $30 charge on my card added to the original transaction, after doing some research I found out the server added an additional 20% tip to my card. Being frustrated with the situation I called and spoke to one of the managers Justin on July 1st. Who reassured me it would get refunded and that he would talk to McKendra that adding tips to transactions was not something they do. Nothing happened after that point so I called back on July 7th and spoke with a different manager not sure her name, but again was reassured the refund was coming but it takes a few business days. I was then informed they had talked to McKendra, and that apparently she just mixed up tickets, and the 20% tip should of been added to another persons receipt instead of mine. Which not sure why they are adding tips to anyone’s transactions after the fact. That leads to today July 14th I still have no refund I call back again and speak with Justin again who reassured me he would look into it and get me my refund. I explained a call back on the status would be nice since this has been going on for over two weeks and I keep getting told it will be taken care of with no call back. update I finally received my refund on 7/18/21. In addition I was given a $75 gift card. I still wouldn’t recommend this establishment unless you grab your receipt and watch your bank account. I...
Read moreI celebrated my birthday here a week or so ago, and as an out of state college student, I was feeling a little bummed that my family wasn't able to be there celebrating with me. Great news is that I had the absolute best waitress, who put her all into making it special. She was so polite and even brought out my dessert with lit candles and a smile (she also took this picture for me)! She grabbed me boxes for all my extras and got me a fresh salad to go, with ranch, croutons, and silverware all neatly packed. She said I was her last table of the night, and I felt so special and important to her, especially towards the end of a busy weekend shift (it was a Saturday). One of the last times she visited me, she brought fresh sauces for my desert in a Togo container and a bag to hold all of it in. She then told me that my dinner was all paid for, and wished me a happy birthday! Wow! I asked if she had paid for it, which she replied that she talked to the manager and that they said it was on them today :) from there on out I had other waitresses/hostess/waiters wish me a happy birthday as I left the restaurant.
I've always really enjoyed Olive Gardens food, atmosphere and staff, but this was a phenomenal experience that I will never forget. I wish I would've gotten my waitresses name, as I would go there again specifically to see her, but she said she works nearly every weekend! At a time where I was really missing my family, Olive Garden and its staff created a familial environment for me to feel extra special and loved on my...
