Stopped here on the way through town. Guy who took my order seemed to be either on something or legitimately crazy (had to ask me three times what I wanted, which was only two items), and guy who took friends' order (after first guy unceremoniously walked away without any warning) was EXTREMELY rude. They were busy and my drink took a while, which is understandable. But they made no effort to call out and indicate that it was ready. If I hadn't been listening VERY attentively, I'd have had no idea that it was done. The food item that I ordered was probably one of the worst things I've ever received from ANYWHERE. The bread was very hot but the egg was cold, and none of the other ingredients were even present (???). So instead of egg and spinach and feta and whatever else was supposed to be in it, it was hot bread with cold egg. Gross. And when the guy finished it, he tossed it (literally) on the counter and mumbled a name that sounded vaguely like mine -- he didn't even look up at any of the customers standing there! And he was the one who took my order in the first place, so it's not like he shouldn't have known who I was. Again, if I hadn't been watching everything going on, I'd have had no idea it was mine. I worked in service for a long time, and I know sometimes it gets busy and difficult, but this was unacceptable. There were only two customers between taking and finishing my order -- he should have been able to indicate to me that it was done.
There were employees in the back (young woman, two young men, and an older woman) who were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing (my drink item was good), but the rudeness and utter incompetence of the two who actually interacted with us ruined the entire experience. They were seriously that bad. I VERY rarely write reviews for services because for the most part, I care very little to articulate how I felt about the experience. This one was so terrible that I'm going out of my way to write this and possibly even contact Starbucks directly. I don't go to Starbucks often but something that's nice when I do is the consistency -- it's basically the same everywhere. This was a whole difference experience. An experience I wouldn't want anyone else to have.
Don't go here. There are other places to get your fix, many nearby. For an experience equal in quality, drink tepid water from a parking lot puddle. You'll get the same effect but it'll be quicker...
Read moreThree times in the past couple of months, they made my drink in a dirty cup with dirt floating around everywhere. I just had this happen and went in to get it fixed, and came home to see nasty contaminants floating around in my drink AGAIN. I didn't want to inspect it right in front of the girl who just remade it because I didn't want to be rude, but I should have, because that's disgusting. If it were me remaking the drink, I would try to find where the dirt came from and solve the problem, not just grab the next cup and assume it's clean. This time around though, it looks like the floaties may have come from a dirty ice machine, as it's definitely a different color and texture. No way am I driving back there for another dirty drink, so unfortunately, I am going to have to waste perfectly good tea, because I will not be drinking whatever that is contaminating it.
Additionally, when they make my drink wrong (add a wrong ingredient that I may or may not be able to consume) and don't make what I actually ordered, they get sassy whey I ask them to kindly make what I actually ordered, and start arguing with me, saying they definitely made it right. I get the same few drinks all the time and have for years, I'm not stupid, I know when my drink visibly has lemonade in it and tastes like lemonade, or when the wrong kind of milk has been added. I got sassed a couple months ago when I said I couldn't have lemonade and that's why it needed to be remade. Not everyone likes lemonade, it's very acidic and some of us have digestive issues that lemons can greatly exacerbate. It is literally my doctor's orders to avoid lemons, and that guy acted like I was some prissy Karen for saying I couldn't have lemonade. You literally NEVER know why someone has requested to have or to not have a different ingredient or why they're sensitive to it, and as a food service worker, that should be one of the first things you learn on the job.
I ALWAYS tip you guys because I know food service can be stressful, but I will no longer be coming to this location. I am almost consistently way nicer to the actual staff than...
Read moreThis location has a very tough time getting the pour-over process right. It's decent or good at least a third of the time, barely passable perhaps another third, and pretty bad another third. I don't know what it is. Some baristas seem to really try to knock themselves out to get it right, but it is not likely them: it's likely the process they have to work (although on occasion a barista will appear to rush the process, and it nearly always comes out bad when this occurs). I recently suggested more inquiry into their process (most Starbucks I visit coast to coast do not have these problems with the pour-over, or nowhere near as often), but the red-haired manager rudely said "we have," when by the taste of my coffee, no improvements (all feasible) have been made to get on par with other stores, despite repeated requests. Unbelievable. Although the store atmosphere is decent, they close somewhat early (10pm), and I am increasingly finding that this place is not worth the time or money cost of visiting. For now, it's thumbs-down on this place, even though some...
